Robert Smith says he didn't write The Cure's Friday I'm In Love, and has no idea where it came from, he just recalled either hearing it somewhere or it spontaneously appeared fully-formed in his mind. To this day no one has really taken credit for it. Then again maybe it was all the drugs

I think I've mentioned this before, but the members of Spirit think Stairway to Heaven is a ripoff of Taurus, but they're both ripoffs of To Catch A Shad by The Modern Folk Quartet...

And Killing Joke accused Nirvana of ripping off Eighties, but a The Damned & some other rock group used that riff before that.....
