    21. Interview with the Vampire (1994)
    22. The Cell (2000)

only 3 I've seen...

TWINS OF EVIL was a regular on late night ITV when I was a kid... and why was a 13 yr old boy repeatedly watching a horror film starring two identical twin playboy bunnies seducing english gents to their demise? I'll tell you why, it was the sizzling dialogue and expert pacing of the plot.

TWINS OF EVIL still plays well even if you're many decades past age 13. Mmmmm that sizzling dialogue...!

I am waiting to do my final tally once I get through all the films but.....Twins of Evil and Incubus have remained the highlights so far. With that said it is the point of the yearly challenge to get outside of my comfort zone and expand my cinematic viewings.....better or worse.

You should watch the true horror that is THE DEMON (1979): a mentor of mine did the photography  :buggedout:  :buggedout:
We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

Next film is #28.
Is this the one with Chevy Chase? Or Alec Baldwin? I feel they both did a film about an invisible man.

Also is the Love at First Bite the Jim Carrey movie? I feel I'm mixing up some flicks. He did a movie in the 80s with a vampire.
"The path to Heaven runs through miles of clouded Hell.

I love lamp.

Memoirs of An Invisible Man is the one with Chevy Chase.

ONCE BITTEN is the one Jim Carrey did and LOVE AT FIRST BITE is the one with George Hamilton ("Children of the night! Shut up!") 😆😂😄

Ironically both movies are in a double pack from Shout/Scream Factory. Can't imagine that contributing to the mix up. XD

Top 10 of the Marathon -
1. Incubus (1966) - Fine folk horror.
2. Twins of Evil (1971) - Traditional Hammer at it's gothic finest.
3. Der Fan (1982) - Slow burn warnings about stalker culture but an unforgettable ending that will stick with you.
4. Don't Be Afraid of the Dark (1973) - TV Horror that is a fun atmospheric watch.
5. Memoirs of an Invisible Man (1992) - The best of Carpenter's "Worst". Turned out much better then what people have talked about over the years.
6.  How to Make a Monster (1958) - Fun movie about the revenge of a a laid off make up artist. Could have had a better lead actor but still fun. Also a great nod to I was a Teenage Werewolf and Teenage Frankenstein.
7. Interview with the Vampire (1994) - While Rice's "themes" may have hurt the vampire genre this is still great gothic atmosphere plus great performances from Tom Cruise and Kirsten Dunst.
8. Butcher, Baker, Nightmare Maker (1981) and  Black Rat (2010) - Solid slashers.
9. King Kong (1976) = I never thought I wanted a King Kong movie with squibs.
10. The Long Night (2022) - Modern folk horror if on the low budget side.

Honorable Mentions:
The Beast with Five Fingers (1946) - At home with the classic Universal Monster and Horror titles of the era.
The Atomic Submarine (1959) - 50's war era movie that turns to Cosmic horror.
Demon Pond (1979) - More fantasy then horror but a well shot Japanese Ghost tale.
Killdozer (1974) - TV horror film about a killer bulldozer.
Day the World Ended (1955) - Roger Corman end of the world pic.
Screamplay (1984) - Troma X Eraserhead.
What Lies Beneath (2000) -  Wine mom horror. Seriously decent but an expensive Lifetime Movie and the last  decent thing  Robert Zemeckis directed.

Duds -
11. Gunhead - Great practical effects but a mess of a story.
10. Zombie Cop (1991) - Shot on video. Pretty much what I expected.
9. The Face of Marble (1946) - Great ideas but sadly too low budget.
8. The Cell (2000) - Style over substance.
7. Sundown: The Vampire in Retreat (1989) and  Love at First Bite (1979) - Two vampire comedies that failed to make me laugh.
6. SideFX (2004) - Great idea for a concept WAY too low a budget.
5. Sleepover Nightmare (2005) - Straight to DVD "slasher" I got at Dollar Tree. Pretty much what it is.
4. Candy Corn (2019) and The Bloody Man (2020) - We can't let the 70's/80's go.
3. Prey (2022) - Girlboss.
2.13 Frightened Girls (1963) - William Castle trying to make a Disney spy film. This shouldn't have been on a horror collection.
1. Rubber (2010) - You are not that clever as you think you are.
