Bucky is such a good film, it'll blow people's minds to watch it a second time.

By no means, an Oscar nominated masterpiece. But, fun, enjoyable, and fairly well executed for an independent film based on a weird little comic book. And, the costumes put together by Jim Henson and his company are really neat, and I wish recent films would use that. The two Michael Bay films were CGI and looked garbage.

Exactly. I went to see it when it came out, and this is one of those movies that is much better than it has any right to be.
Indeed. Especially at the time it was made, considering we were getting movies like Howard the Duck. I love Howard, but it's not a movie that's well done.

this was too Troma-esque for my liking... the 'hooker herself (ahem) was rather nice though

Only a few months ago, I found out Liam Neeson & Patrick Stewart were in Excalibur.....
Saw it as a kid, & was pretty apathetic about the cast at the time...

The cast of EXCALIBUR were lost upon me at age 5 or 6 (I think Gabriel Byrne is also in there), but I thought it was impressive-looking and cool and even scary at times. I bought a beautiful VHS copy 20-some years ago and that poster/cover art, man, is an art object all its own...! I was so excited when I loaded it up and hit Play....... but... it underwhelmed me. Maybe results will vary. I was hoping for a Tolkein-esque epic spectacle - heck, even something on par with KRULL would've satisfied me. But perhaps John Badham was out of his element here or... under-funded? I don't know. It played out more like Badham's DELIVERANCE than Jackson's LOTR....... whole lotta' white guys splashin' around in the mud for two hours!
