I actually like CRY FREEDOM even though I usually don't like foreign filmmakers usurping our history by telling our stories. CRY FREEDOM is an honest attempt at telling a story of the meeting of two minds, one black, the other white which the apartheid government wanted silenced so they killed the one and banned the other, only to have the latter escape.

Dad told me about THE CONQUEROR when I was a kid and it made me go 😳.

I remember my folks being invited to the premiere of HEAVEN'S GATE at our local cinema in 1981. Both of them said they were confused by it and Dad said it looked like someone had gone through the print with a scissors, just cutting anything out anywhere which is exactly what happened when your movie's original running time was 325 minutes 😳😳

DRESSED TO KILL and EXORCIST 2 had censorship issues in South Africa and all three EXORCIST films were banned.

I PTOOEY ON YOUR GRAVE was also banned; LEONARD PART 6 was advertised here, they made posters etc and then forgot to release it 😳😉
