I haven't heard of a lot of the films nominated
Kubrick, Nolan, Tarantino, Wan, Iñárritu, Scorsese, Chaplin, Abrams, Wes Anderson, Gilliam, Kurosawa, Villeneuve - the elite

I believe in the international communist conspiracy to sap and impurify all of our precious bodily fluids.

Thanks Claws 🙂

I think all the nominations Sinners received must be some kind of record.
We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

I've seen all the best picture nominees and a lot of the others. I'm still catching up on a few, documentaries mostly. My critics' group votes are due tomorrow. Here's how I'd rank the best picture nominees:

1. Bugonia (surprised but pleased this got a nomination; it has no chance of winning)
2. One Battle After Another (good chance of winning)
3. Marty Supreme
4. Sinners (good chance of winning)
5. The Secret Agent
6. Sentimental Value
7. Frankenstein
8. Train Dreams
9. Hamnet
10. F1 (shocked to see it, not a good movie but should win some technical awards)

I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...
