I loved seeing JAWS for the first time ever on the big screen last year in August. Quite something. 😊 🦈

first time ever 'on a big screen', or first time you've ever seen the film?

there's someone here who I think mentioned they've never seen it

I was only 8 when it was first released so it was the first time I ever saw it on the big screen.

I think our Rev said that he'd never seen it.
We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

I've never seen JAWS and have no real desire to.

this makes no sense to me, yet at the same time I have never had any desire to see CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE 3RD KIND. someone even gave me the dvd, and it's been sitting in my collection for about a year now unwatched. each to their own

I appreciate anyone w/ discernment and discretion who is willing to refrain from watching any film for any reason or no reason.  :bouncegiggle: .......As someone who suffers from a compulsion to watch everything, including many things I should know well enough to skip.

I've never watched any of the ROCKY films and have zero interest in doing so.

only saw the original for the first time last year... can't say I liked it much, however it was way more downbeat and introspective than I expected. a character study with surprisingly little boxing.

also watched ROCKY 5 purely based on its awful 'bad movie' reputation. and yeah it's pretty bad lol... not amazingly 'so-bad-it's-good' bad though

Not in a movie but a TV show.

In Star Trek Voyager: the ship and crew are dragged across the galaxy by a powerful alien. This alien called the Caretaker apparently destroyed the ecology of a planet inhabited by a race call the Ocompa.  Ocompas do not make sense biologically. They only live for 9 years, can only mate once and only produce a single offspring. In other words-doomed to extinction.

For a long time I thought there was a scene where the Caretaker said he engineered the Ocompa and that's why they are the way they were.
At least, that's what Gary Busey told me...
