AKA the return of my uncle Uwe to directing.

Apparently this film has been banned in Germany and I think it has gone to streaming elsewhere as it is so controversial.

Available in full for a while on X at x.com/CitizenVMovie.

That seems like the optimal platform for it.

The subject finally popped up on the right wing media sites I follow.....

Is it October yet?

Maybe people should, I don't know, see it before passing judgement?

No 😉

In the glory days of the IMDB message boards, people joked that I defended Uwe where others didn't, one person said "He's probably Trevor's uncle" and that stuck 😊😊

Okay. You can adopt an uncle, that's cool.

I didn't think his first few films were that bad. I saw some later ones though that were pretty rough.

I've not seen his German films or his early junk DTV films, but House of the Dead is embarrassing, and Alone in the Dark is actually one of the worst films I've ever seen in my life.  And I've seen stuff like Monster a Go Go (which, I'll admit, is worse, but they're in the same ballpark).

HOWEVER....  I think Rampage actually isn't half-bad, unpleasant as it is.  The visual style can be very off putting, and it's very unpleasant, but it's decently made if you can stomach it.

The two films he made here - 1968 TUNNEL RATS and DARFUR - are incredible films, especially DARFUR which is emotional and sometimes very violent and disturbing.
