Zulu would have been next up for me, too.

46. Unforgiven (1992) (set in 1880-1881)

Then I follow up with

47. Khartoum (1966)

during the siege of Khartoum 1884-85

49. The Elephant Man (ends with the death of John Merrick in 1890)

I forgot that rule, but that's a lovely selection.

50.) PICNIC AT HANGING ROCK - 1900

So we have 126 years to cover w/ fifty films - could be worse!

Rev. Powell

There are many more movies set in the past century to choose from. We could potentially have 5 movies set in WWII, not even counting those set in the run-up and the immediate aftermath.

51. Breaker Morant (set in 1902)
