Should Reviews Have...?

As funny as it sounds, most of us will probably never get to see Shakma.

I don't want to make extra work for anyone, but how many of you would like to see more spoilers? Not throughout the review itself, but at the bottom of the page, there could be a detailed description of key scenes, including the climax and conclusion, that has to be highlighted to be read. Thoughts?

I'm okay with this, myself, for the reasons already given.  Plus, there are movies out there I have no desire to watch, yet I'm curious to know how they turn out.

All I ask for is advanced warning, so if the film under discussion is one I don't want spoiled, I can skip it.  By advanced warning, I don't mean the SPOILERS AHEAD per se.  If the standard is to tell all (as it is over at Jabootu), that's enough to alert me.

Here's the ignorance part.  Ready?

How do you get italics in the post?  And set up "click on" links?

Just write HTML into the post.

Note: If you use HTML, then return characters get weird and you have to use break tags.  And with no 'preview' 'delete' or 'edit' capabilities, make sure you're HTML is *correct*

Thanks a lot!  Felt a little dense asking, but...

Actually, I've already seen SHAKMA.

Several times, such is my shame.

I'm pretty much anti-spoiler for any movie I'm remotely interested in seeing (I don't even liking hearing that a movie is supposed to have a surprise ending), so a separate spoiler section would work for me.  I know the Straight Dope message boards include a tag that automatically blacks out all spoilers, so you do have to click and drag.  Of course, that message board software costs several thousand dollars.

But yeah, heavy warnings on the spoilers.

...I'm always trying to reach a balance between describing the movie and spoiling it for someone.  Maybe I should change the name to "The Bad Movie Critique Website."

I know that I wont get to see alot of the films on this site so I think the spoiler idea is a good one, as long as we're given advanced warnings.

But, a spoiler alert is just fine. It gives you the option to do as suits ya. I generaly read spoilers, as most flicks i can't find, or don't feel compelled to sacrifice a major orgin to see. But, its nice to have the choice.
