I work at a Blockbuster Video and we recently did a pull of over 200 VHS titles from our older sections to make more room for DVDs.  Add this in with a $3 off promotion on any previously viewed product and a 20% discount.  So, I browsed through what we had and I managed to get a copy of Jack-O for $2.75.  I am going to hang onto this baby.  Someday, I'll be able to pawn it off on EBay for a large sum of money.  I absolutely love this movie in all it's cheesy glory.  Too bad I didn't pick up Slumber Party Massacre 3 while I had the chance.  I recommend going over to your local BBV and seeing what they have, as pulls like these are usually done all at the same time, so there might be some interesting finds there right now.  Also, I believe the $3 off promotion is nation-wide (might want to call on that though) , so a lot of the tapes are cheaper or similar to a rental.

     Hmmmmm...
Just a passing bit of trivia...
According to the Internet Movie Database (cue fanfare) the director/star of "The Creeping Terror" (the one who dropped his sound equipment in lake Tahoe) is listed as being in "Jack-O" in the role of 'cable installer'.  It would be amusing to see how he looks after making a movie so astoundingly bad and all the years going past.

i like it when then dumb little kid yells this when he sees the horrifying jack-0, it would be more threatening, though if it was mr. jackson himself.

I am the Lindberg baby! . . . and yes, i have abandonment  issues . . .

What is the story in this one, i've never heard of it. So, the Creeping Terror sound guy dropped his gear in Lake Tahoe....as penance, or before they compleated the freakin' Film? It would explain much......still a wonderful bad movie.

It can't be the same guy.  The cable installer actor is in his 30s or early 40s at the most.  And since The Creeping Terror was released sometime in the 60s, there's no way it can be the same guy.  Kinda disappointing.
