Sinister Cinema is cleaning house, and is going to be discontiuing some of its titles. Most of these are Westerns, but there are also many titles which sf/horror/exploitation/just plain bad film fans would be interested in. This may be your one chance to get these films, or your last chance to get decent copies of them:

The Amphibian Man (Russian SF), The Magic Serpent, The Bells (silent w/Karloff), Castle of Doom (English language version of Dreyer's Vampyr), White Pongo, The Crazy Ray (classic Rene Clair SF silent), Dr. Orloff's Invisible Horror, Fangs of the Living Dead, Gappa the Triphibian Monster, Curse of Nostradamus and Genii of Darkness (both Germain Robles vampire films), The Greed of William Hart (Tod Slaughter), Hercules: Prisoner of Evil, White Comanche (w/William Shatner in  a Spaghetti Western!), Pin Down Girls, Ring of Terror  and I Accuse My Parents (all deMSTified), I Eat Your Skin, Kung Fu of Eight Drunkards,  The Testament of Dr. Mabuse,  Master of the Flying Guillotine, The Naked Witch (Larry Buchanan), The Phantom Creeps (Feature version), Son of Ingagi and Drums o'Voodoo (both very rare all-black horror films from the thirties; maybe TCM should shwo them during Black Histroy Month, no?), Super Manchu, The Terror (with Jack Nicholson and Karloff) When Women had Tales and Voyage to the Prehistoric Planet.  They're also removing three of their self-proclaimed worst movies from their catalogue: Bad Girls Do Cry, Cry of the Coyote (thirties Western) and The Magic Land of Mother Goose (an H.G. Lewis kiddie film!!!), as well as some of their trailer collections.

Andrew B., you listening? You already have some of these, I know, but the rest are more ammo for your site!

Those are some great titles AndrewK. How much are they asking? I've been hoping to see the price drop dramatically on VHS in the future. I keep a vigil eye out every time I goe out the the malls for VHS blow out sales, but they haven't happened yet. DVD is making its mark and I hope also that Sinister Cinema has immediate plans for putting those titles of DVD to preserve them.

A couple certainly are interesting, but especially that H.G. Lewis fairy tale movie.  I wonder if Old Mother Hubbard had a knife in her cupboard?

The Video Rest home titles (the ones which are being discontinued) are mostly only 9.95, but are not available and any other offer (they currently have a super sale, where if buy four tapes, you get one free). Usually, they go for about 16.95, so it's a comparative bargain. Sinister is by far the best PD video outlet out there. Not only are their tapes and transfers high-quality, but they don't feature any annoying "bugs" at the bottom of the screen like Something Weird does. As of yeet, they have no plans to put out DVDs this year (next year, maybe), but still, they have a lot of good stuff/

Man, that is one freaky ass movie.  Anyone showing that thing to children should be locked up.

Andrew

Ah, so you saw it as a little tyke?

Darn it Ken, this isn't about your mother for once!

If the VHS isn't $5.00 or less then its not a bargain. :)
