Hmmm, that George Clooney post brings up a question. Why is he so popular?  He just does movies with his friends. They like get together and write a movie and then force people to pay for them. Is it just me, or does he always have a smug smile and a stubble? Does he never shave   Case in point,
2 movies with Mark Wahlberg
2 with Julia Roberts
3 with Steven Soderburgh
Movies with stubble: all but the Peacemaker
What does this mean?

He is not the only one. In fact, not only does Adam Sandler just make movies with his friends (Rob Schneider, Norm MacDonald, Steve Buscemi) but his movies are reallyjust about him and his buddies hanging out (excluding Little Nicky). Look at Mr. Deeds, it is just about his life story (poor underdog get a lot of money, for no real reason).

Last, where the hell did this Collin Farrell come with. After two movies (Tigerland, Minority Report) and two hook ups (Demi Moore, Britney Spears, that BASTARD) He is like the hottest dude. He stole a role from Hollywood's pretty boy Leo DiCaprio (for Alexander the Great). He has worked with Cruise and Spielburg and will soon work with Sam L. Jackson, Ben Affleck (in Daredevil) and Al Pacino (in The Recruit). He even has his own movie coming out (Phone Booth). I thought he was ok in Minority Report, but is he that great

Is this all just too strange??

Well you have the Rat Pack ( 1950's thru 1960's)

The Brat Pack (aka... stars from Breakfest Club) (1982??? thru 1986???) not too sure about the dates...

Now you have the SNL Pack (sorry I wouldnt call it the Sandler Pack) but I do agree that Adam Sandler seems to make a movie with all his friends in it... but it seems that all his friends are from SNL... I could be wrong here since I havent seen SNL in years. (also, If we like to make an SNL pack should we include all the cast members... and who would be the leader of the pack [Bill Murry does comes to mind]

And now recently you got the Clooney Pack (I would like to call it Rat Pack 2)

:D

I thought Clooney kicked ass in From Dusk 'til Dawn, being a cool sociopath type character, then I saw One Fine Day and realized that was all he was capable of acting like...a big kid.  My wife can't stand him because he seems such a jerk in real life.

Although I did like him in Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?, simply because the Coen Brothers played that I'm just a cool, big kid schtick to the character's benefit and some guy kicked his ass, several times over....

But I don't think Clooney will never be bona fide to me.
