TROLL 2 - oh how i longed to see this one. When I finally saw it for the first time two days ago it met all my expectations. This really is an unbelievably bad "horror" movie. It is as if God, or maybe rather The Master of The Stonehenge Magic Stone, had unleashed this cinematic abomination upon the face of Earth just to set the definite standard of suckiness. Definitely a must see. Exactly as hilariously bad it is cracked up to be. Especially the scene with the Nilbog people singing and clapping hands, encouraging the Waits family to the eat the yucky green food, will haunt me forever like some demonic fever hallucination.
Has tons of quotable lines.
"They are eating her. And then they are going to eat me! OH MY GOD!"
"Nilbog is Goblin spellt backwards! This is their kingdom!"
"You can't p**s on hospitality! I wont allow it!"
The sad thing is that the sound is so substandard that it is very hard to  hear what they are saying sometimes, especially if english is not your mother tongue.

I would highly appreciate any obscure info on this film. I heard yesterday that Mr Waits was played by a local dentist. Not very surprising...

Btw can anyone recommend Crawlers aka Creepers aka Troll 3?

GAME OF DEATH  2 (aka TOWER OF DEATH) - Bruce Lee is spinning in his grave! Some greedy fool put together some old material featuring Bruce, whose character is killed off after about half an hour. The main character is some lame Bruce wannabe and the "plot" revolves around revenge, drug running and a tower of death built upside down.  Some of the crappiest dubbing work ever.

LEPRECHAUN III - Warwick Davies run amok in Vegas killing everyone in sight because he lost one of his shillings. Actually one of the best of series, much due to the Leps oneliners. Watching the male protagonist turning into a leprechaun is also pretty hilarious. Limericks abound!

THE SWORD & THE SORCERER - The Epic Saga that was the beginning of Mr. Albert Pyun's starlit career. Featuring what must be the coolest sword ever. The most incredible thing about this ultra-generic sword & sorcery romp is that it displays more charm and skill than most of the dreck that Pyun was to write and direct after this.

This is the last Leprechaun movie I was watched.  I figured I go out with a winner, seeing that I actually thought it was entertainingly stupid.

One amusing thing about Troll 2 is that when I was a boy, I looked almost EXACTLY like the main kid in it!

THE CRAWLERS is really the U.S. video title. The original title of the shot-in-the-U.S.-by-Italians feature is CONTAMINATION .7, a sci-fi/horror vehicle about toxic waste mutating tree roots to become man-eating threats. Despite what you have heard, CONTAMINATION .7 was not released in the U.S. as TROLL 3. A nasty rumor started by nasty people.

As for TROLL 2, you will be pleased to know that it's coming to DVD by MGM on a 'Double Feature' disk, the main feature being the 1986 Empire Pictures film TROLL. Also, TROLL 2 is not an "offical' sequel as it is an Italian film of it's own nature. Originally titled TROLLI (English translation: TROLLS) by it's prducer Joe D'Amato and his Filmirage Productions (I might add Filmirage was responsible for CONTAMINATION .7), it was directed by Claudio Fragasso, who is billed as 'Drake Floyd', and intened to be it's own film. Due to TROLL still being a success with the international market, TROLLS was re-titled TROLL 2. Fragasso has gone on the record that he felt TROLL 2 was his better film than AFTER DEATH (1988) or BEYOND DARKNESS (1990). And I can see why, it's just silly nonsense fun not to be taken seriously.

The acting and the horror were great,and the touches of humor were well done.

Oh, I bought Troll 2 on DVD. it has been released in the UK by Moonstone.

Btw any opinions on Santa Claus Conquers The Martians and Slave Girls from beyond infinity?

Just as a heads up Sven A, is your UK DVD of TROLL 2 in it's original 1.85:1 Aspect Ratio. If not, then MGM's DVD is going to be, complete with trailers.

I would really like to see the trailer to TROLL 2, despite the film recieving a very limited release in U.S. theatres back in 1992. Still looking forward to it.

Oh I agree, it is. Yet, I was quite entertained by it and had never a dull moment in it. It's junk, but likeable junk. And I still can't believe MGM is releasing it on DVD. Never saw that one coming.

The Moon Stone Troll 2 DVd has a aspect ratio of 1.33:1  No trailer

Maybe one day I will replace it with the MGM edition.
