i think he overuses color filtering.  other than that, he's not terrible - i'd take some style from soderbergh over the non-existant style of 90% of the current directors out there.

'the limey' and 'traffic' were kind of crap, i must admit that i liked 'oceans eleven' even though i think anyone could've directed that, and i haven't seen his latest films ('full frontal' and 'solaris'? box office poison!).  *shrugs*, what can you do?

She plays Michael Douglas' daughter in Traffic.  She's also the crazy stalker in Swimfan (and the only reason to watch that movie).  She's ungodly gorgeous and a great actress to boot.

His directorial style annoys me at times, such as in the example from Erin Brokovich:

Soderbergh is an alright director, and he is one of the few modern directors who tries to do something different with the materials he is given. I agree in that he is waaaaay too overrated, though. As for his movies (rthe ones that I have seen) I found "Out of sight" to be quite boring, "Traffic" incredibly stupid (not to mention racist) at some stages. "The limey" was cool, but they really needed a plot there. I like "Ocean's eleven", and "Solaris" was great.

Soderbergh directed a few decent movies. I kinda liked "Erin Brokovich" and "Traffic," although I'll probably be insulted here for it.

Traffic was fine.   I saw the UK TV mini-series that the movie was taken from...it was good too--probably better than the film, but the film had better acting.  

Didn't see Brockovich, don't intend to.
