Anway I sat down and turned on the channel to "TNN" for this cool show "Most Extreme Elination Challenge". The orignal show from Japan was called "Takashi's Castle" and was more of one of those challenge athletic shows. There was Takashi dressed as a Emperor (Vic Romano on MXC) and his supervisior uh forgot he name (Kenny Blankchip on MXC) with their loyal supjects they ran a castle and a land, but Takashi's rival: General Lee (Captain Teaneal on MXC) with a voulenter army of one hunder try to invade the castle by getting past all the obsticales. After nine games Takashi with his followers got into tanks that shot water and battled General Lee and his army, who had Tanks of their own, and I guess if the General won he would say "HAHA live with the shame that I have one" and I guess he tries it again in next weeks episode. In "Most Extreme Elimanation Challenge" it's more like a making fun of what the people are doing, Mainly it Kenny and Vic making cracks about the contestants. Anway I sat down on sunday and it was TWO episodes of re runs. I'm worried that this hillarious show has been cancled! NOOOO! Don't cancel "MXC" I mean this show is so funny!. So just in case lets have everyone on this board send an E-mail to TNN and tell them how much you like "MXC" and going to do it as soon as I finish this topic. My brother "SNESMAN64" made a good analogy of the show here it is "It's like Mystey Science Theater 3000 only it's making fun of people not bad movie" - SNESMAN64.
So please send TNN e-mail on how you love this show! I can't life with out it!

Sorry.....I've tried watching this show and just cannot get into it.

I was bored out of my mind within 10 minutes.

Dave: Blackeye15

awwww...Oh well, thanks for honest ASHTHECAT. (I know there are some people who like this show I just know it.)

turthfully i love 'takeshi's castle' from the first time i'd seen it over three years ago while in japan - but i HATE the mock translation that tnn has done.  if they would bring it over with real translation from the japanese version, i'd never stop watching it - but the americanised voice overs are lame, lame, lame!

the game with the roller skating horse race kills me, man - i love that!

that show is amazing. So funny. I don't think that they were trying to actually translate it :P its just really funny

I'm sorry to here that you hate MXC ilcos. I like because of the stunts and the "translating"

it's good to see it, don't get me wrong, but it'd be infinitely better (and more absurd) with legit translations.  until then, i'll have to watch it on mute and play some hilarious japanese theme music (that is - if it's still on tnn).

I guess TNN is trying to go for some kind of IRON CHEF meets JACKASS meets WHAT'S NEW, TIGER LILY? vibe with the show. I've seen it, not the worst way to kill a half hour, but I can't see getting excited about it. Might work better for me if they ran it late at night. I would like to see a translation of the original version though for comparison. I wonder would that be more interesting than the "funny" translation.

Besides TNN is about to name change to Spike TV to crank up their "Television For Men" image. With stuff like STRIPPERELLA and that animated series with Kelsey Grammer (GARY THE RAT?) coming up who knows what they will do to the channel?

Dave: Blackeye15

I guess I can sympathize with people who like "Takashi's Castle" because I HATE it when dubbing companies %$%^ up translating anime from japan.

Actually, I gouged my eyes out and shoved rotten eggs into my bleeding sockets just so I COULDN'T see this show. While this proved extreamly painful, I was pleased that I've missed every episode.

Talk about a love it or hate it show.  Personally, I love the show, and would definitely hate to see it go.  I remember me and a bunch of friends were flipping through on a Saturday night (drunk as well) and we stopped on the show.  We proceeded to laugh our asses off for the next hour.  God, it was so funny.  Not really because of the dubbing, but just because of the show itself.  Then again, dubbed movies don't bother me, so maybe that's why I didn't mind it.  It's just as funny sober as well.  It'd be interesting to hear what they're really saying, but the dub is part of the show's humor for some people.  Thankfully, it's on TNN, so it doesn't necessarily have to pull down high ratings just to stay afloat.  Maybe they were showing reruns because they were planning on getting more episodes?  Either way, I'd hate to see it go.

Sorry, I've never seen this show. I refuse to watch anything on TNN as long as they're arrogant enough to put that banner across the bottom of the screen. I've even sent them email and told them so.

Dave: Blackeye15

Oh well do what you like everyone I have no right to scold anyone for their opinions in this situation, I like the show and i'm sending them e-mail about it, but you have your own rights dudes. Peace out.
