You see i'm doing my own comic book and I've got a character from Africa and when I named him I started thinking this: In Western Culture the personal name is written first then the familiy name, but in Japan the familiy is written first then the personal name. I dunno I just wanna be sure on how you write both Chinese and African name go.

For China (and Korea) you put the family name first.

I haven't studied that issue in Africa, but from what I've seen, it follows Western Culture (though whether that is indigenous or due to colonialism, I don't kow).

Remember, if you create a Bajoran character to put the last name first!
