Great Sage

If you ask me, Reality TV isn't at all real... Putting 10 people on a island with rules isn't realistic.  Ten people on a island for 30 days would be engaging in sexual activities, fighting for supremacy and power.  Now that would be fun to watch.

American Idol sucks!  They should call it American Rejects, because so far none of these so-called "idols" are going anywhere.

I'm especially sick of the "Bachelor" "Bachelorette" genre shows...  Who wants to marry a millionaire? Obviously, no one... They just want the money.  Joe Millionaire is now Joe broke.

My God, when will this crap end?

I think "Lord Of The Flies" captures it pretty well...

I think reality tv is getting old.  Yes, I did watch Joe Millionaire, but out of curiosity.  I laughed my ass off when I read that Joe broke it off with the girl he picked anyway.  I did like Fear.  That show scared the crap out of me.  Anyone know why it was cancelled? I also have to laugh at American Idol.  I started watching it this year, but then I just got sick of the poor talent they were picking.  They made such a big deal out of these guys, and now I haven't heard about them anymore.  And sorry,  but Kelly Clarkson ain't all that.  I am going to scream if they come out with one more reality show.  And no, I won't watch it!!!

i dont know if the Osbourne animal violence thing was cleared up in an earlier post but Jack killing the dog in his sleep was a put on. the episode ended with a pan to cue cards Ozzy was reading, the family sitting in directors chairs and the dog safe in Sharons arms the credits roled and we saw outakes from the first season Ozzy duffed the line " i love you all but your all F*&%@*& mad" about ten times before nailing it. It was freaking genious!! how much of the show was a farce i have to give MTV credit they had me convinced, it was a ballsy move because as we all know most audiences dont like surprise twists that make them think. Sorry if I ruined the show for anyone but at the begining of the thread there seemed to be a lil hoopla over the alleged doggy demise

I don't know if it's real or not but I think it's funny.  And read the quetions you have to answer if you apply. (not that I applied or anything.)

from the site:
E4 is looking for 10 hot blooded male contestants to battle it out as 40 professional lap dancers do everything in their power to make it hard for them.

So if you think you've got what it takes to keep your mind on the bounty and your hands off the booty, it's time to sign up for the experience of a lifetime.

Just fill in the form and you could be taking a trip to Lapdance Island.

Good luck and remember â€" you can look â€" but one touch and you're OUT!

what has television come to?

Well that was fun...in a f****in' sick, terrible, not at all fun kinda way.

"Most extream challange" is funny, as much for the off the wall commentary as the stunts involved. Other then that....
Yeah. "Scare tatics" will get credibility, when some guy hauls off and clobbers the "Threat" with a tire iron, and the crew run in yelling "Stop pummeling him, its just a T.V. show!"
Oh, and Shannon....get a better nose job...

"Aggressivlly eccentric, and proud of it!"

"But when does one cross the line? on the season finale of the Osbournes, I hear that the son beat his dog to death in his sleep, and the documentors just taped it. I think that really just crossed the line, why not just follow a serial killer around all day (bad comparison I know, but is that the next step?)"

You fell for a gimmick

Robot Roll Call: (Come on, let's go)
Cambot (Pan left)
Gypsy (Hi girl)
Tom Servo (What a cool guy)
Croooow! (You little wisecracker)

Scare Tactics Fake  Apparently others are starting to notice continuity errors, camera angle oddities, and supposedly real people who coincidentally have acting experience or have been in other works

The only reality shows I watch are Cops, America's Wildest Police Videos, Fear Factor and Maximum Exposiure.  But for the most part, I never liked reality shows.  The whole thing started with the Real World and Road Rules on MTV.  I'm thinking to myself why are these shows on a network that is strictly for MUSIC????????!!!!!!!!!  I thought shows like Who Wants To Marry a Millionaire and the like, meant that there is hope for gold digging women everywhere.  And Survivor and Big Brother to me are just stupid.  There was this one show I did watch on Fox, I think it was called "Boot Camp".  I thought it would be interesting to see ordinary people go through the crap I had to go when I was in the Army.  Yelling in your face, order to do 50 push-up on the fly. But it wasn't like they went through the real thing.  I didn't see any of those "soldiers" go through BRM (Basic Rifle Marksmenship).
