"it's not very many people who would be attracted actually watching a Cronenberg movie. Guy's got a creepy mind."
very true. i doubt he got laid in in his early twenties, but do any smart people do?

had to study videodrome and the fly for my cinema studies subject this semester.  both are fantastic, sometimes gruesome films, as per usual with cronenberg.  definitely reccomended.  i so need to see crash, it sounds very disturbing [right up my alley] and anything about a woman who grows a penis on her arm and infects them is got to be funny [rabid?]

i've also got videodrome on dvd, but it's really dissapointing because i wanted special features and my copy only has the trailer.  still, a good buy.

I thought CRASH was a crashing bore...heh heh.

Love THE BROOD, but haven't seen SHIVERS in years.  I haven't seen M. BUTTERFLY or the new one.  EXISTENZ seemed more like a remake of VIDEODROME.

The Burgomaster

I haven't kept up with Cronenberg in recent years.  I like his earlier stuff like SHIVERS, THE BROOD and RABID.  THE FLY was good, but a bit too "Hollywoodized."  VIDEODROME has its good and bad points, as does SCANNERS.  I haven't seen any of his newer films.  Has anyone seen THE SPIDER? I almost bought it the other day.

i haven't seen brood or shiver but have heard alot about both.  the brood sounds especially interesting.  existenz does seem very similar to videodrome, but is still a fairly different film.  it was ok, but not fantastic.  i really like the 'eating the special' scene though.  very disgusting.
