After reading about the possible Eddie Murphy' remake of "The incredible Shrinking Man" and coming close to a dry heave...I realized that maybe it isn't so bad. Maybe they'll finally release the original on DVD in hopes of riding the coat tails of the new release. One can only hope, thinking back this is probably one of the earliest sci-fi movies I saw that really sparked my love for the genre....

a brief list of coming attractions to a dvd near you:

Alien Quadrilogy
Creepozoids
Flesheater
Dr. Jeckle Mr. Hide
Godzilla vs. Megaguirus
Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah
Blacula
Scream, Blacula, Scream!
Gamera vs. Monster X
Lobster Man from Mars
Repo Man
Allan Quatermain and the Lost City of Gold (aka the poor man's indiana)
my science project

Stop or my mom will shoot (why for the love of god..whyyyyy)

Thanks for the heads up Susan.

I'll definently be picking up Repo Man.  That flick rocks!

A bald man named Savalas visited me last night in a dream.  I think it was a Telly vision.

The Burgomaster

I already have the 2 BLACULA movies on my "I absolutely MUST buy these" list.

Burgo, you have to check with the wife first on Blacula? ;-)

Yes.  I'll check with her, and then no matter what she says, I'll buy it.

BLACULA and SCREAM, BLACULA, SCREAM are very important because they add to both my horror collection AND my blaxploitation collection (which is one of my favorite genres).  I already have:

* SHAFT
* SHAFT'S BIG SCORE!
* SHAFT IN AFRICA
* SLAUGHTER
* SLAUGHTER'S BIG RIP-OFF
* TRUCK TURNER
* BLACK CAESAR
* HELL UP IN HARLEM
* ACROSS 110TH STREET
* COFFY
* FOXY BROWN
* BLACK MAMA, WHITE MAMA
* DOLEMITE
* THE HUMAN TORNADO
* DISCO GODFATHER

And probably a few more that I can't remember right now.  The BLACULA movies will fit in nicely with the above titles.  In fact, this makes me want to have a blaxploitation movie marathon!  I might even need to dig out my old VHS copies of:

* SUPERFLY (which is coming to DVD!)
* COTTON COMES TO HARLEM
* GOODBYE, CHARLESTON BLUE
* BLACK SAMSON
* BLACK EYE
* BLACK BELT JONES

These movies are worth watching for the 1970s clothing and the funky soundtracks alone!

You just reminded me of the Slaughter DVDs!

I must buy!

You have no idea how happy I am to have been reminded of them.
