Faerie Of Death

There's a very frightening movie I think everyone should be aware of. . .
There exists somewhere a 10 minute Disney cartoon called "Willie the Operatic Whale", a heartwarming story of a kind-hearted whale who loves to sing, is discovered, and sings at opera houses around the world.  This involves wearing *ahem* traditional opera costumes, such as the steriotypical enormous woman with a viking helmet, a whale-sized clown suit, and Satan.  I was shocked to see that at my local Hollywood Video, this movie is FREE with any rental and available to children everywhere.  I also vaguely remember viewing it in my early childhood, which might explain my presence here. . .

Oh my god, that cartoon makes me cry to this day.  Humans are so evil.....

Yep,saw it on walts original w.w..of color. Downer ending! How did they get willie through the pearley gates, a fork lift?

Whales gooooooood!

People baaaaaaaaad!

Thank you Frankenstein's monster for you insightful critical response.

I saw this and was really despressed for awhile after it, especially the way the harpooning maestro was played for laughs.  I guess it does say something about not killing the spirit, but man this thing is depressing.  It almost makes me want to cry!

Yes, the ending is horribly tragic, but I found it hard to take it seriously after the scene with Willie joining the chior invisible in yet another ludacris costume.
And might I add that also on this tape is the tale of Lambert the Sheepish Lion, the tale of a lion raised by sheep and also a very disturbing movie.
