I was a little surprised that no one on this board has yet pointed out how JUST YESTERDAY, there were a couple of posts regarding "Red Dawn" and today we learn the a group of the 4th ID (the Wolverines) successfully completed Operation RED DAWN (the capture of Hussein).

Coincidence, or are those on this board just really tuned in ......

Professor Hathaway:  I noticed you stopped stuttering.
Bodie:      I've been giving myself shock treatments.
Professor Hathaway: Up the voltage.

Wow! I hadn't even heard about this! (yeah, I don't usually watch the news)

I also chuckled about the coincidence.  If that had not been posted on the message board I would have never made the connection with Wolverines.

My question is, do they name every single operation in advance or just the ones that are successful?

Because if I was going to be a part of "Operation Gigli" I think I would ask for a transfer.

They all get named.  We usually only remember the successful ones because success stands out.

Well naturaly they'll have a tough name...who's gonna be the jackrabbits or possums?  ;-)
