Paul Anderson's track record is indeed very bleak, but I'm really hoping that AVP works out well.  From what I've seen it doesn't look too bad, especially considering I think he butchered the original AVP idea that could've been so very good [the games I mean]

There isn't alot of good to be said about him, except this: In some interview I read somewhere, he stated that he's sick of all the dodgy CGI graphics and many-a-film's reliance on it.  He decided to go back to the basics and make the film like the original Alien series: puppets and what not.  In other words, not much CGI in it at all.  As annoying and bad as he is, I had to give him credit for that.

Just saw the new REA trailer, its a f**king joke. It looks like house of the dead 2.0.

save the world, kill a politician or two.

I know I'm the only one here who enjoyed House of the Dead, but I can't be the only one who thinks Apocalypse looks incredible.  I just watched the new trailer, and not only does this movie look utterly ridiculous, it's rated R for "non-stop violence." I can't wait.

Dunners

R for non stop violence eh?  I scoff at this film "Bah!"

save the world, kill a politician or two.

I haven't seen "House of the Dead" since I heard it was so awful. Even I have my limits and I won't see movies that get virtually no good reviews.

I actually enjoyed the first "Resident Evil" movie and I'm really picky about zombie movies. I know people here like to rag on the first "Resident Evil" film, and its director in particular, but it's a perfectly watchable and entertaining film and SO MUCH better than most zombie movies. I think the trailer for "Resident Evil 2" looks pretty kick ass. My only worry is that they're making it more of an action flick than a horror flick. I hope they don't forget the elements that made the video games so effective, which are horror and suspense. The movie should be scary and creepy, not just a bunch of yahoos running around blowing things up and shooting monsters with big guns.

I think its fair to say that the film is likely to be a lot more action than suspense.

Mr. Hockstatter

Judging by the commercials, it looks fantastic.  I anxiously await its arrival at Blockbuster ;)

I just saw the movie and I haven't really had enough time to let it all sink in, but it's looking to be one of my favorite movies of all time.  It was so awesome I could cream my pants right now.  I'm going to have to go watch it again.  Can't  wait for the dvd to come out.
