I saw an ad on Spike the other day--the townies don't know that they are the actual stars of a reality show.
Could be a winner, might fall flat.  Depends on how the townies react to certain situations.

I remember when this was being shot because I live about 30 minutes from Riverside.

It's actually a pretty cool little town and they have a statue of the original starship Enterprise along the main road through town.
