Zombie Alert !! Tonight at 8pm Central it's All Souls Day. The only names I recognize in the cast are David Keith and Jeffrey Combs. It's the Day of the Dead, and they want join the celebration.

"A Mexican festival is marred by undead party-crashers."

Sharkman Alert!! Next week (June 18, 8pm Central) it's Hammerhead: Shark Frenzy. Jeffrey Combs is illegally experimenting with stem cells and accidentally creates a Shark/Human hybrid. Don't you hate when that happens?

"When he began fusing  human and shark DNA, his colleagues laughed at him. Now his creation is taking revenge, and they aren't laughing anymore."

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

Hmmm...  It all sounds like good fun, but I'm boycotting SciFi channal.  Their stating reason for not bringing the new Dorctor Who series Stateside was that it was "too British."

Further proof that SciFi is run by a bunch of jerk marketing execs instead of science fiction fans.  I'm done with them.

Jeffrey Combs is illegally experimenting...

You'd think he'd have learned...

The only reason I watch now is because it's the only place to see reruns of Kolchak (too bad they always show the same 16 eps). As for the running of SciFi, it's run by a woman that used to be the head of Lifetime, and she got the job from a friend of hers. Now I don't know how much of this is true, but if it is, then I can understand why they suck so much nowadays.

I don't think SciFi has done too many zombie movies, mostly giant monsters. I don't know if this a good thing or a bad thing. Good: Maybe they got a new guy to do this Zombie movie and he or she has got some good idea. Bad: Not done too many times before so lacking experince, and sometimes lacking experince = sucks!

Now it's time to sing the nation anthem IN AMERICA!!!

Call me crazy, but I strangely think that the Sci Fi channel should be showing Science Fiction - that's what Sci Fi is short for, right?  So, why did they have "Scare Tactics"  and that show where the dude supposedly talked to dead people?

Yeah.  Former Lifetime Exec.  No excuse.

Fiction is out these days.

It's all reality-TV, all the time{god help us all}.

Like I read online somewhere, by appearing on the Scifi channel wasn't John Edward in effect admiting to being a fakebecause he sure ain't "science".

And stuff like "Scare Tactics" and that plumbers/ghost hunters show were just attempts to ride the reality trend. Myabe they should have created "Scifi Convention Geek Deathmatch". A show where fans dressed as characters from various popular shows, books, films, anime, etc. fight it out to see who are the baddest geeks in the land.

Bonnie Hammer seems to be on a roll, unfortunately. The NY Times had an article about the success of "The 4400" and her recent promotion to head SciFi and USA when NBC bought Universal. She's a TV executive, pure and simple, not a scifi fan. If she thought the network would make more money and get higher ratings, they'd turn SciFi into the all "Walker, Texas Ranger" Channel. Remember they still show "Braveheart" from time to time on SciFi, to goose the ratings I guess.

"Hammerhead: Shark Frenzy" - "A shark/human hybrid". Too bad "Sealab 2021" beat them to the punch with their Sharco character.
blah blah stuff blah blah obscure pop culture reference blah blah clever turn of phrase blah blah bad pun blah blah bad link blah blah zzzz.....

Ghost Hunters has been renewed with 13 episodes scheduled to start at the end of July (with more possible if it continues to do well). Although I do like this show, I really don't see why it should be on the SciFi channel and agree that they should stick to Science Fiction.

So THATS the ( String together a series of your favorite curses here) who screwed it all up!
Right, the channel makes money.....to what degree?
If she had any programming talent, she might have a chance at respect.
But, Noooo...she takes the cheap way out, and shows "Genre" pics, that she can get for a ducket a dozen.
In short, she had no creative skills, and a limeted money makeing ability.
Wheres a Sci-Fi Rupet Murdoc when ya need 'im!?

Sheesh!
