Hey is it just me or does the board seem awfully slow as far as postings? I guess it's the time of year with everyone vacationing or doing family stuff.

Just wondering.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

Menard

Now you aren't planning on going on vacation soon, are you?

Chopper

yeah i know i've been out of the game for a while, lot of stuff going on but i try to stop by when i can.

I noticed that also I was worried that the board was dying out, so I made about ten posts in just one day last week. It seemed like it got some life kicekd back up. I hope it's just because it's summer.

Now it's time to sing the nation anthem IN AMERICA!!!

It's summertime. Families are taking vacations. People are getting outside more. Teenagers actually have something more to do than go to school and get on the computer at night; not to mention summer jobs. There is a rumor about more people going to the movies during the summer, but the box office returns have not evidenced this for the summer. When school starts and the weather starts getting colder, not to mention less daylight, people will be getting on the internet more to join the rest of us who don't have anything better to do during the summer (sigh).

I have not seen a couple of posters in awhile. h.p. love, Dave Munger, and "I don't watch movies anymore because I am too cool" Scott.  I always here posting my life away so fear not citizens! rock and roll rich is here for life unless I get a life.

Hey I would never announce a vacation with you lurking around Menard, because I know you would treat me to one of your royal skewerings.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

Ash

I had also noticed the slump.
I would write a thread on a Sunday and then check the board the following Sunday to see that it was still on the board near the top.

Scott

LOL. That was to funny Rich Andrini. : )

Well, I let go of my Netflix membership after being with them for 6 months and my movie marathon has come to a crawl this summer with 14 movies in June and only 7 movies in July, but I have been reading the post on a regular basis.

July Viewings:

Hell Comes to Frogtown **
They Came to Cordura ****
Clerks ***
Batman Begins ****
War of the Worlds ****
White Heat ****
Commanche Station ****

Been doing a lot of things as always, but it seems that my list of available movies has just about run out. Covered all the genres quite well. Have about 100 films I wouldn't mind seeing. I have about 15 cheapie DVD's yet to watch and occasionally some films on Encore, TCM, and AMC.  Also have a few rent one get one free coupons for Blockbuster that are good till October. Should get some of those newer DVD releases with the coupons in the months ahead.

Been working out 12 hours a week at the gym, in the middle of 3 books, started new self defense training recently, taking some summer day trips, starting on a new webpage, while doing some of my usual tasks at home.

By the way Rich your from the New York area, right? We just came back from Sam's Point Preserve on the Shawangunk Mountain Ridge just West of Exit 18 near New Paltz on the N.Y. State Rt. 87. We went to the top off a mountain plateau that has a very unique feature called the Ice Caves where you can find ice year round between large splits in the mountain which you enter from the above cliffs. It cost $7 a car load and you can eat all the wild blueberries and rasberries you can. I hear August is the best time to pick them. People take baskets with them and fill them before returning home. There are also great views, lakes, and waterfalls, not to mention wildlife. Saw on the trail rattlesnake, wild turkey, and falcons. Not far from the West Point Museum I told you about last year. Check it out if your looking for a quick adventure. Could take you 2-3 days to explore if you take in the adjoining Minnewaska State Park. World famous for rock climbers. A whole lot to do in that area and then you have the Catskills just North of them.

You took a vacation and didn't tell us? Well now, what would inspire you to do that? (:

>>>Been working out 12 hours a week at the gym

Getting rid of all that winter baby fat?

Man, Scott, you are one hell of a busy guy!  Which books are you reading?  I'm drowning under four subjects of Uni readings so there's not much time for recreational reading any more, even if my subjects are interesting.

Since it's winter here, I guess I don't have an excuse otherwise: I usually check in on the board every weeknight, and once or so on the weekend [including friday] but I've seen some good movies, and had some stuff happen, so when I get more time I'll post a little something that will hopefully add a bit of zest.  It would be good to get that one topic or so every few months that I create out of the way! :-P

12 hours a week? Damn that's a lot more than me. It's pretty much three days a week at  hour and a half of work outs (not including running to and from the gym and walking the dogs.)

You must be looking good by now or soon.
