Yesterday, 11-1-05, Howsuffworks.com published this cool article on how the Death Star from Star Wars works.
I hadn't really given much thought as to how complex a space station like that would really be.
And it is damn complicated when you really take a good hard look at this ultimate Weapon of Mass Destruction!

CHECK IT OUT HERE
(it's a lengthy article and will take at least 10-15+ minutes to read)

As I was writing this thread, it dawned on me that the mousepad I currently use is the incompleted Death Star II !
(I guess I've been using it for so long that I'd forgotten)

What do you think of that article?

Good article...now I can get to work constructing one for myself.

What I also enjoyed were the little related stories at the bottom of each page. One particularly amusing one was about the trash compactor on the Death Star.

Hahahahaha.

Personally, I have no opinion about the Star Wars universe.

I thought the trash compactor article was the best. It really sucked the reality out of "A New Hope." :)

That day care article is pretty funny.

Also the side article about the Ewok Holocaust is pretty interesting too!

So the Ewoks got obliterated!!! Now that really made my day!

Not related to this topic exactly, but the site with the trash compactor article had a hilarious piece on the diary of a Cobra recruit. There's a link at the bottom of the trash compactor story.

Now I just have to finish that "Star Trek" holographic deck and call it a day.

Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

Wow!
Thats nerdology to be proud of!
The Ewoks were doomed. Doomed, i tells ya!
