Will we start seeing things like STAR WARS: DEEP SPACE 9, STAR WARS: VOYAGER or STAR WARS: THE NEXT GENERATION?

I'm hoping for Son of Star Wars, Return of the Star Wars, and Star Wars vs. the Martians.

Fearless Freep

We already had the Clone Wars cartoon series, which was pretty cool

I thought Lucas wanted to create a 7-9.

God help me if I'm right.

I didn't see anyone else mention it yet... but there is a live action Star Wars tv show in the works. You did know about that, right? If Lucas doesn't touch it too much it might be good.

The live action TV show is supposed to take place between Episode III and the original Star Wars.  That gives about 16 years of story to cover and should be fun if done right.  The stories will supposedly involve characters new to the saga with cameos from time to time from some familiar faces.

To me, the jedi and sith are the fun part of Star Wars.  This time frame means that there will be only two sith (Vader and The Emporer) and four jedi (Luke, Obi Wan, Yoda and Leia) available for stories.  I assume most of the show will just be plain old drama or....Star Wars: SVU.

Blechhh.

There is also an extended clone wars cartoon series in the works...I think that will be fun.

Just Plain Horse

*Yawn* I'm over it. Sorry, nothing worth contributing....

Ha! If the storyline for the TV series is between eps III and IV, does that mean we will be subjected to pre-teen Han Solo and Luke and Leia?

Also, the whole Force thing, whilst being crucial to most of the Star Wars saga, is by no means the only way to go [though I agree that if they don't use it they are being a little silly]

I mean, I've read some pretty fun and great Star Wars novels [don't laugh, there are some damn good ones out there] which had great storylines and not once mentioned the force in them.

There must be a level of mysticism attached to the whole Star Wars franchise, but the Force is somewhat redundant to the stories in this Star Wars 'mythology' with an incredible amount of non-force characters who have their own interesting side stories.

But yes, a Star Wars series needs some sort of Force in it [it would be pretty silly otherwise] I just thought it would be worth mentioning that the use of the Force is by no means one which is important to the general storyline.

Maybe they make an new Holiday Special.
Something like "X-Mas Star Wars Holiday Special 2006", or something else Lucas will be again ashamed off...

So long as we don't have "Luke and Leia, The Forgotten Romance."
