Ok, I've seen that there's a new AvP release in the stores. Unlike most of you, I didn't mind this movie too much but I did think that there could've been more added violence in it. I am wanting this movie on DVD for my collection but I'd like to know if anyone knows about this new release. Specifically, did they add anything to the violence and fight scenes? I know that the cover says something about it being unrated but I also know that ploy. Apparently, anything added to the movie that wasn't in the original release makes it unrated (I learned this the hard way).
Anyway, without getting into whether or not AvP sucked, can anyone tell me anything about this new release?

I heard there were 8 minutes added none of it anything spectacular.

And you thought Trek isn't cool.

Odinn,

I haven't seen the new version of AvP, but I'm with you about the original cut.  Could have been better, if it were an R film with the violence and all, but it wasn't too bad the way it was.

I'd say if you are going to pick up a DVD copy of the film anyway, then go with the unrated edition.  Atleast you are getting a bit more film for the money.

A bald man named Savalas visited me last night in a dream.  I think it was a Telly vision.

Save yer money dude 8 minutes of footage isnt gonna save the film in any way. Esp when the 8 minutes are mostly a new opening and stuff from what I hear.
save the world, kill a politician or two.

Basically I will be getting the movie one way or another. I guess if nothing else, the cooler cover art should make it worhtwhile ;)
