Okay, the message board is now running on the new server.  We lost the posts that were made since this morning, but otherwise it seems good.  Anyone please let me know if you spot a problem.  I dislike rushed moves to get things up and running.  Doing them right is hard enough when you have it planned beforehand.

And now I need to monitor this new setup carefully.  I coordinated with Hostgator about this solution, as it is a VPS and not a full dedicated server.  There is a possibility that this will not be able to meet the site's needs.  I do have a backup plan, just in case this will not work out.  However, unlike what IX did to the site, I am pretty darn certain Hostgator will give me fair warning about any problems.

And Andy is running a 102.7 fever.  Need to keep an eye on him.  The children's tylenol should bring that down, but we shall see.  I think that 0430 is going to arrive all too quickly.

heh..heh.., I had just posted a topic about the sudden change when I noticed it. Maybe it's me, but it seems faster.

I had read eariler a quite complicated operation to make this board go to flat view -- In the "Old Days" one merely clicked on Flat View & got it --
Any chance of this happening again?

I have no idea what this means.

Peter, it's really not that difficult to do.
From the main page (the one that lists all the topics) select "My Control Center" and from there you select "Forum Settings". You will see options to change the view from threaded to flat. It's way easier than it sounds.
