Today, on Channel 48's Creature Double Feature..

Another rare find at Youtube!  How many of you remember a show called "Creature Double Feature" on WKBS Philly 48 back in the late 70's and early 80's?  It was on from 1 in the afternoon to 5 and showed some good shockers back in the day.  I remember this one fondly, and I'm sure many of you who lived in Philly back then will remembr too!

We usta get channel 28 Double Creature Feature from South Bend,Ind. Different program than the above. It opened with a photo of the Space monster from FRANKENSTEIN MEETS THE SPACE MONSTER,and a guy doing a bad Boris Karloff imitaition annoucing the 2 features. Seen a lot of grat double bills-like the WEREWOLF OF LONDON and DRACULA'S DAUGHTER...and lotsa crappy ones-like the BEAST OF MORROCO and MUTNIY IN OUTER SPACE.

It's funny the TV station was WKBS .  We've got a TV station in LaCrosse Wisconsin that's WKBT.  Must have been the very next one to get licensed

I believe there might be some Channel 28 Creature Double Feature stuff at Youtube, I think I remember seeing some.

Could be. Whatever the case in both of your replies, I also remember that Channel 48 also showed The Son Of Svengoolie in place of CDF now and then.  UHF TV was a great thing because you never knew just what you were getting, and when you did get something, it was usually wild and wonderful!

I miss that station outta Philly. Eventually it dropped the program and call letters. But it would still highlight the same style of movies, just rotated. One weekend it'd be monster movies, the next it'd have cheesy '80s flicks with Corey Feldman and Haim, the next were off-the-wall straight to video action/martial arts films.

Plus, they showcased programs from Vince McMahon's WWF, Ted Turner's WCW, Paul Heyman's ECW, and a few local Philly based pro wrestling companies.

Sadly it's now a Religious channel.
