Here's how it works: you submit nominations for the best movie of 2011 in this thread (one only).  Next Sunday I will take all the nominations and put them into a poll, and the community will vote for the winner.

There's also a "Worst Movie of 2011" nomination thread here: http://www.badmovies.org/forum/index.php/topic,136651.0.html

My nomination is THE TREE OF LIFE---I thought it blew the competition out of the water.

What's your nomination?

Hmm... I want to say Harry Potter 7.2 or Rango, but I still have to see one last movie this year this Thursday, The Adventures of Tintin.  I'll hold off on my nomination until then.

I'm so frickin' excited for Tintin!   TeddyR

Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

Doubt it'll win but do feel it deserves to be nominated.

I've only seen 3 movies in theaters this year. Two of them have been nominated as worst of the year, and then there is this one. It was somewhat predictable but I really liked it for what it was.

I nominate

I'm giving my nomination to The Adventures of Tintin.  I don't think it'll win, but I still want to nominate it regardless.
