The trailers make it look good (but that is what trailers are for) and it will be released on Valentine's Day here. Any thoughts, peeps? My only issue is with the director John Moore who made a complete a$$ of himself here making Flight Of The Phoenix: several of my colleagues in the industry said they would never work with him again.

Loved the original Die Hard, great film.

sadly I think the franchise ran out of mileage and has become a parody of itself.  the last one was pretty horrible I thought, in fact I turned it off despite paying to see it. (the one with the computer hacking stuff)
please do not mock my potato.

I agree about Die Hard 4.0 / Live Free Or Die Hard: (a) Bruce Willis looked incredibly old and tired and (b) when the outtakes are funnier than the film, you have problems.  :buggedout:

I'm kind of sick of the 'Aging franchise introducing a son/daughter into the mix to "Update" it' but the trailer at least looks like fun, so I'm more willing to forgive it compared to say, Indiana Jones, and I just heard that Beverly Hills Cop is getting a TV Movie with Axel Foley's son getting in on the act [it sounds horrible]

Oy: what are they going to have Axel say: "Kindly remove yourself from my sight  and my immediate presence"?  :buggedout:

If Lucas were on this project Bruce Willis would be a fully-CGI character swinging from vines. I will never forgive that horrid misuse of technology.

I dearly love the original DIE HARD but this looks like a total retread of the fourth movie, just changing the kid and the location.  I think I'll pass.

I saw this last night and was shocked: it is very, very good indeed. Some good laughs too, especially where John McClane is trying to talk to the Russian cabbie in his own language and the cabbie tells him that John just asked him for a bag of hair.  :bouncegiggle: :bouncegiggle:
