This movie almost made me cry-when John Cazale got shot in the head-they didn't have to shot the guy.
A great film-My favorite Al Pacino movie-this poor shmuck robs a bank with no money in it-and can't find his way out. The crowd is with him-until they find out he has a gay lover-and bam! They turn on him.A very insightful look at the media, the masses love of drama and violence-and how you turn on yer heros. He was a man of the people-all cheering and GOGOGO!-untill they found out he was queer-then they recoiled. He was the same man-but narrowmindness f**ked him. Oh-and robbing a bank didnt help either.
and-it was based on fact-!
