Morgan Freeman's pre-test speech to his children in LEAN ON ME. Wow: truly inspirational.

The St Crispin's Day speech delivered by Kenneth Brannon in HENRY V.
Anthony Hopkin's closing argument before the Supreme Court in AMISTAD.
And the whole "Today we are canceling the apocalypse!" spiel from PACIFIC RIM.

The apparently now famous speech in Synecdoche, New York even though there is a lot more profound stuff in that film. If this wasn't limited to film I would put in so much of Picard  :teddyr: - I'll have to give this thread some thought, I watch quite a few dialogue heavy films

Coach Rig (Robert Loggia) in Necessary Roughness:  :teddyr: :teddyr:

Quote

Coach Rig: NOT A [expletive deleted] THING'S been working for us. Like this [expletive deleted] suit doesn't work for me... and this stinking tie... and this [expletive deleted] shirt. IT DOESN'T WORK FOR ME. YOU KNOW HOW TO PLAY WINNING HARD-NOSED FOOTBALL? YOU PLAY FOOTBALL LIKE ED GENERRO PLAYED FOOTBALL. A guy who gave his life for this football team. He was a 140-pound halfback, and HE PLAYED LIKE A [expletive deleted] WILDMAN! NO! LIKE A [expletive deleted] RAMPAGING BEAST! And that's the way you got to do it! YOU GO OUT THERE! YOU TEAR THEIR [expletive deleted] HEADS OFF, AND YOU [expletive deleted] DOWN THEIR NECKS! Let us pray.

It's the "Let us pray" part of that speech that always cracks me up.  :teddyr: :teddyr:

I forgot to add the text of Morgan Freeman's speech from Lean On Me: wow.

Quote
Joe Clark: Alright people, here we are. In one hour, you are going to take an exam administered by the State to test your basic skills and the quality of education at East Side High. I want to tell you what the people are saying about you and what they think about your chances. They say you're inferior! You are just a bunch of [expletive deleted] and poor white trash! Education is wasted on you! You cannot learn! You're lost! I mean ALL of you!

I want all the white students to stand up. All my white students, stand up. Stand up. C'mon, stand up. These are my white children and they're the same as all of you! They've got no place to go, if they had, they'd have abandoned us a long time ago like everybody else did. So, here they are in East Side High, just like the rest of us. You can sit down.

Are you getting my point, people? Is it beginning to sink in? We sink, we swim, we rise, we fall, we meet our fate together! Now, it took the help of a good, good friend to make me know and understand that and I do understand that and I'm grateful. I'm eternally grateful.

And now, I've got a message for those people out there who've abandoned you and written you off! Can you hear me? Can you hear me? Good!

You are NOT inferior! Your grades may be, your school may have been. But you can turn that around and make liars out of those bastards in exactly one hour when you take that test and pass it and win! So here's what I want you to do. When you find your thoughts wandering, I want you to knuckle back down and concentrate. Concentrate! Remember what's at stake and show them what East Side High's all about: a spirit that will not die!

Couldn't find a video of it, but I always loved this little bit from CITIZEN KANE -
Bernstein: A fellow will remember a lot of things you wouldn't think he'd remember. You take me. One day, back in 1896, I was crossing over to Jersey on the ferry, and as we pulled out, there was another ferry pulling in, and on it there was a girl waiting to get off. A white dress she had on. She was carrying a white parasol. I only saw her for one second. She didn't see me at all, but I'll bet a month hasn't gone by since that I haven't thought of that girl.

You almost get the sense that Lugosi has broken character, and is talking about himself; Martin Landau also gives a great Lugosi speech  in ED WOOD.

That whole ending was pretty epic and Stallone's monologue at the end was probably his finest acting. Good choice.

I like the "dicks, pussies, and a***oles" speech from Team America: World Police (2004):

"Well, being a dick ain't so bad. See, there are three kinds of people: Dicks, pussies and a***oles. Pussies think everyone can get along and dicks just wanna f**k all the time without thinking it through. But then you got your a***oles, Chuck. And all the a***oles want is to s**t all over everything!

So pussies may get mad at dicks once in a while because pussies get f**ked by dicks. But dicks also f**k a***oles, Chuck. And if they didn't f**k the a***oles, you know what you'd get? You'd get your dick and your p***y all covered in s**t!"

First Blood final speech
NOTHING IS OVER!
RAMBO First Blood ([url]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yQVei5WK_LY#[/url])

The ending speech in Rambo First Blood Part 2 was great. Trautman asks Rambo what he wants, and he goes:

"What I want, is what they want (points to the rescued POWS)

"What I want, is what every other guy who came over here and spilled his guts out wants..for our country to love us, as much as WE, love itThat's what I want.."

As he walks away, Trautman says "How will you live, John"?
"Day by day"...

Couldn't find the clip but this speech has stuck with me for nearly 30 years after. The crowd erupted in cheers afterwards. That was in 1985, around 20 years after our involvement.
