This is a very sad event for me. I was a gamer in my youth [still am to lesser extent] and that culture had an impact on my life. A good time spent with friends using our very vivid imaginations. Too many deride people who game, but it is a driving force getting people interested in reading, developing mental skills and learning about history, myth, the Classics, etc.

Damn. :bluesad:

I was big into D & D in the 80's and early 90's when he had moved on from TSR, but I still knew who he was. I even read some of the novels he wrote (still have them, too).

I guess he failed that one last saving throw.

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

I haven't been in D&D very long, only a couple of years, but Gygax shall be missed :bluesad:
