Hit a garage sale today and made these pickups for a grand total of $2:

U2 - The Joshua Tree and Live Under a Blood Red Sky
Loverboy - Big Ones
Various - Have A Nice Day: Super Hits of the '70s Vol. 13 (random Rhino Records comp that I grabbed cuz it had Golden Earring's "Radar Love" on it, as well as Reunion's "Life is a Rock (But the Radio Rolled Me)," which my friend's band used to cover...)

I picked up the new Dokken CD, Broken Bones, a couple of days ago...haven't had time to give it more than a cursory listen yet, though.

Picked up KISS' new one, Monster, today.

I got the Best Buy "exclusive" version which has a ginchy-cool lenticular 3-D thingy on the cover so it looks like Paul's hand is reachin' out of the picture to grab your soul! Woooooo!

Bump... this thread hasn't seen much action in a while. Am I the only one who still purchases music? (Shudder) That's a scary thought.  TeddyR

Anyway, this past week I picked up this pair from WalMart...

I figured it was about time I owned me some of Unca Ted's material aside from his work with Damn Yankees and this was a nice cheap starter...

I usually skip compilations but this one has a couple of unreleased tracks on it, including "Electra," which would've been on RJD's concept album "Magica II" had he lived to complete it.

yeah I just bought 2 CDs on lunch break earlier today

Goldie/Rufige Crew - Memoirs Of An afterlife. Not bad although pretty average and nowhere nears as good as Timeless. ("well obviously", I hear you say)

Irv Gotti - The Inc. this was cheap. not surprised, its horrible. from 2002, and proves my theory that hip hop/rap stopped being good in 1998

'nother one from GoHastings arrived in today's mail....

Ace Frehley - Anomaly

I ordered a "Used" copy for $2.49, but it arrived new & still sealed...I love when that happens.  TeddyR

The CD case is some kind of goofy ass digi-pak that unfolds into a pyramid shape, presumably so you can use it to contact Ace on his home planet of Jendell, or whatever.

Cool album, dumbest gimmick packaging ever.

That's the second time it has happened with this batch of orders from Hastings (the other being the Donnas' Gold Medal), and it's happened a couple of other times when I've ordered from them in the past too.

Anyway, three more arrived in today's mail:

AdrianGale FEEL THE FIRE - '80s style melodic hard rock, ala Dokken or Firehouse.

Sloppy sounding live tape of the short lived "Mark IV" lineup of Purple (w/David Coverdale and Tommy Bolin)

Live gig from 2005

Still waiting for two more from this batch to arrive, hopefully by Monday.
