There's no point to this "game."  Just do a random shuffle on your iPod and list the first 10 tracks that come up.

Here are mine:

1. Be Good to Yourself (Journey)
2. Juke Box Music (Kinks)
3. Little Hitler (Nick Lowe)
4. Nathan Jones (Bananarama)
5. Dancing in the Moonlight (King Harvest)
6. You are the Girl (Cars)
7. Jungleland (Bruce Springsteen)
8. The Best (Tina Turner)
9. Girl in a T-Shirt (ZZ Top)
10. I'm the One (Van Halen).

Total songs: 3,639.

I do this all the time.  I actually listen to shuffle most of the time. Last.fm will even make the list for me.

That should be continuously updated.  When I first posted the list was:

The Pogues - I'm a Man You Don't Meet Everyday
John Coltrane - The Night Has a Thousand Eyes
Duke Ellington Orchestra - Do Nothin' Till You Hear from Me
Gene Ammons - Cara Mia
Lightnin' Hopkins - I'm Going to Build Me a Heaven
Darol Anger & Mike Marshall - Wayfaring Stranger
Bassekou Kouyate & Ngoni ba - Mbowdi
Ben Allison & Medicine Wheel - Buzz
Danny Holt - Memory Peices: I. Cage
Bob Dylan - Fourth Time Around

Currently 4,615 tracks (that's on my hard drive, not portable).

Well, that insinuates that the rest of the games at badmovies.org have a point.  TongueOut

I'll have to post tomorrow morning with my first one.

Let's see:

"Ugly in the Morning" Faith No More
"Drunken Hearted Man (Alternate Take)" Robert Johnson
"Lost Someone" Cat Power
"In the Neck" Revolting Cocks
"Car" Built to Spill
"Jojouka" William S. Burroughs
"Bad Cops Bad Charities" Playradioplay!
"You Can't Always Get What You Want" The Rolling Stones
"Never Here" Elastica
"Something" The Beatles

Total Songs: 13694
Rated Songs: 3331

I have a habit of picking up random CD's from the library and ripping them to my computer. My playlist is full of stuff I've never heard, such as that Built to Spill song.

Kind of an addition to the shuffle--a music quiz!

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Put your music player on shuffle.
2. Press forward for each question.
3. Use the song title as the answer to the question even if it doesn't make sense. NO CHEATING!

I am going to cheat, in that I will use the first song that makes contextual sense. I've got a lot of instrumentals, songs with nonsense titles and comedy bits in my playlist.

WHAT'S YOUR OUTLOOK ON LIFE?
"We've Got to Do Something" Infant Sorrow

WHAT DO YOUR FRIENDS THINK OF YOU?
"Big Man With a Gun" Nine Inch Nails

WHAT DO STRANGERS THINK OF YOU?
"You Belong to Me" Bob Dylan

WHAT YOUR EX'S THINK OF YOU?
"Chained to the Couch" The Devil Makes Three

HOW WILL YOUR LOVE LIFE BE IN THE FUTURE?
"Precious Thing" Big Black

WILL YOU GET MARRIED?
"You Are the Magic" Johnny Marr

WILL YOU HAVE KIDS?
"New Noise" Refused

ARE YOU GOOD AT SCHOOL?
"The Mark Has Been Made" Nine Inch Nails

WHAT SONG SHOULD THEY PLAY ON YOUR BIRTHDAY?
"Where Did You Sleep Last Night?" Nirvana

WHAT SONG SHOULD THEY PLAY AT YOUR FUNERAL
"These Boots Are Made for Walkin'" Crispin Hellion Glover

THE SOUNDTRACK OF YOUR LIFE?
"You Just May Be the One" The Monkees

YOU AND YOUR BEST FRIEND ARE?
"Giving Up the Ghost" DJ Shadow

WHAT DO YOU SAY WHEN LIFE GETS TOO HARD?
"I Like It" Moby

WHAT SONG WILL YOU DANCE TO AT YOUR WEDDING?
"Stork & Owl" TV on the Radio

WHAT DO YOU WANT AS A CAREER?
"Raw Power" Iggy & the Stooges

YOUR FAVORITE SAYING?
"No Fair Fights" Prick

HOW WILL I DIE?
"Undertow" Tool
