ANNOUNCEMENT: Locking long threads

Just a heads up. I read on the forum devoted to Simple Machines Forums that long threads should be locked to reduce stress on the server.

Since we don't want the forum to crash, I'm going to start locking threads over 65 pages long. I'll start continuation threads and post redirections each time. I will be doing them slowly.

I know this is a little annoying, but it's standard practice in the forum business. Sorry for any inconvenience.

as long as it's a heads up i don't think anyone will mind.  i belong to doctor who forum and they also do that on there with certain threads
