I don't have anything against Road House. I own it, and enjoy watching it. It is a cult film and I respect it for that.
I always felt the cheese in Road House is fun but too smooth. It's there and it is amusing but doesn't really stand out. Strip away the cheese and you have a competent film only lacking a tighter direction.
It certainly is a "guy" movie with plenty of bad ass and kick ass moments. As a whole it could easily pass as a "regular" film because the 80s cheese works in its favor.

Showgirls is quite the opposite of Road House. It is camp on steroids with tons of nudity. It is sexy but unsexy. It is ridiculous from start to finish. It is too silly to whack off to. It is the anti-erotic erotica movie. It's a joke, but a good one if you are willing to give in. Quentin Tarantino applauded Showgirls's status as a mainstream exploitation film and it is funny to me that people are still offended by Showgirls. I also think it is hilarious that people claim Showgirls was always meant to be a satire.

Showgirls can't be taken seriously, but Road House can be to some degree. That said I do enjoy both but if I have to pick one it'll be Showgirls.

Showgirls doesn't offend me, it just doesn't entertain me in any way whereas I find Roadhouse a fun watch. I'd argue that Roadhouse shouldn't be on this list, but it is my favourite out of all the ones on the list.

claws (and Roger Ebert) pretty much express my feelings on ROAD HOUSE and SHOWGIRLS. I've got nothing against ROAD HOUSE, but I never thought of it as a "bad movie" in the same way that the rest of the movies on this list are bad movies.
