Saw this at least twice at the Drive-in.  Smokin, eatin, drinkin.  Terrible movie;  you're in for a treat.  It has Bull from Night Court...

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
American History X.
Midnight Cowboy.
Gone With The Wind.
What Ever Happened To Baby Jane.
Rosemary's Baby.
Citizen Kane.
2001 (I might have seen all of this, but have never sat down and watched it start to end).
Yojimbo.
Blue Velvet.
The Great Dictator.
The Seventh Seal.
Battleship Potemkin.
Oops, just realised I'd went over 10, so I'll stop there.

However many you've got, you've got a nice list to look forward to.  Of your list I urge you to start with either one of these 2, they both have laughs and cringes and are ALWAYS entertaining just great movies:

What Ever Happened To Baby Jane
The Great Dictator

Watched Baby Jane and enjoyed it. I think Yojimbo will be the next one on my list. I need to be in the right mood these days for silent movies. No idea why that is as I used to love watching them.
I'll show you ruin
I'll show you heartbreak
I'll show you lonely
A sorrow in darkness

Yeelen (1987)

Mother India (1957)

Xala (1975)

Spirit of the Beehive (1973)

Dekalog (1988)

Jules et Jim (1962)

Heimat (1985)

A Prophet (2009)

10 (2002)

Manila by Night (1980)

I have not seen any of those. Even heard of them.
Except SPIRIT OF THE BEEHIVE. Not seen it. Heard of it. Oh yeah- JULES ET JIM (1962). Never felt the need to watch it.
Never cared for artsy films unless they appealed to my sensibilities. I like Kirby much more than Piccasso.
Supernatural?...perhaps. Baloney?...Perhaps not!" Bela Lugosi-the BLACK CAT (1934)

Interesting thing about Picasso vs. art of the past.

TL:DR: They likely used mirrors, lenses, and other devices to create great works of art. Modern artists knew this and rebelled.

THE GREAT DICTATOR is not a silent movie.  1940.  It's a spoof of hitler.

CLERKS (1994)
Everyone seems to love this movie. I don't know anything about it except comic book nerd Kevin Smith is in it.

The original Top Gun was on TV this Sunday, so I made sure to watch it. So that's one crossed off the list. I was very pleasantly surprised, as I had little idea of the plot apart from the presence of Tom Cruise and Kelly McGillis. What also surprised me was how many lines and turns of phrase from the movie had made it into popular culture, like Val Kilmer scoffing 'bulls33t' into his hand, talking about writing cheques his body can't cash, etc. Seeing a movie of such pupularity from the 80s for the first time was like a wonderful kind of time machine, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. So on to Maverick!

I managed to find the original director's cut of Tokyo Olympiad on the official Olympic website, at over two hours and forty minutes long. The documentary was reportedly cut by the distributor to about 2 hours on first release because it had a more artistic style than the distributors were looking for.

There's plenty I haven't seen, but ones that I've not and people tell me I must:

Casablanca
2001: A Space Odyssey
Gone With the Wind
Dirty Harry
Cleopatra
Casino

There's others I'm sure, but these come to mind right now.

I hear it's very good. I've seen parts of it, but not in full. I actually saw one of the sequels not knowing it was a sequel. Dead Pool. Came out in like 86 or something.
