Halloween Franchise -

1. Halloween (1978)
2. Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982) - The way the franchise should have went.
3. Halloween II (1981)
4. tie - Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers (1988)/Halloween (2018) - Both had great set ups but hurt by the idiotic ideas in the following films.
5. Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998) - Scream like yuppieness added to the franchise but could have been decent conclusion if they stopped.
6. Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995) - Producers Cut - an inch better in pacing over the theatrical cut.
7. Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995) - Theatrical Cut
8. Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers (1989) - Back peddles on everything Halloween 4 set up along with adding an extremely annoying character.
9. Halloween Kills (2021) - Back peddles on everything 2018 set back along with more stupid.
10. Rob Zombie's Halloween (2007) - I will at least say Zombie tried something different in the first half. Not saying much.
11. Halloween: Resurrection (2002) - I would have rather seen Michael Myers go to space over being beat up by Busta Rhymes.

Didn't bother -
Rob Zombie's Halloween II (2009) - When even Zombie's defenders denounced this film it was an easy pass.
Halloween Ends (2022) - I hated Halloween Kills so much, I skipped it.

1. The Howling (1981): the best. (banned in SA)
2. The Howling 4 (1988): only up here because it was filmed in SA and Justin Hayward singes the theme tune.

12. Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday (1993)

Why does every loathe this film so much? Out of all the Jason movies- this is the only one I enjoyed.
At least it tried something different.

At least it tried something different.

All they did was ripping off The Hidden (1987)

they tried something different too,, but also failed:

telekinesis: Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood (1988)
replacing Jason:  Friday the 13th: A New Beginning (1985)
different location (boat / manhattan): Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan (1989)
space: Jason X (2001)
Is it October yet?

It DID remind me of the HIDDEN (1987)- a much better film than any of the Jason junk.
I've not seen even half the Friday the 13th movies- and found them all to be repetitious garbage.
Of the HALLOWEEN films- the first and the 3rd ones are the only worthwhile ones, though I enjoyed Zombie's in the first half- it soon turned into another tired slasher flick. Not big on slasher flicks.
