I saw Cobra Command before but never really played it. I did, however, play the NES version and regret it to this day.
I think most of us who played the NES version regretted it. It was either that or that Tecmo game with the helicopter that was way worse at the time. I forget the name of the game though.
The Japanese laser version of Cobra Command was a trip though. Data East put in some great animation that fit the bill for the day's style and there were some awesome scenes of destruction when you shot down the enemy's planes and choppers. There was a great level that took place in a Middle Eastern oil field that you had to fight through while the terrorists were destroying it. Another nice level where you take on the enemy's naval fleet too.
