It's not often that I can say I look forward to a movie from Asylum, but this looks like it might be fun.
I'm not saying it looks good, but I'm a sucker for any movie that gets the classic monsters back together.

Michael Madsen is better than starring in anything from Asylum

So they turned Michael Madsen into Casanova Frankenstein (Mystery Men, 1999)

I dunno. The trailer still looks like crap.

I'll take the alternate critical approach here: Michael Madsen elevates everything. This is now a must-see for me.

I watched a killer sea creature movie at some point (I don't even remember what kind of creature) and Madsen played the Captain or Admiral and (as presumably he spent much of the shoot drunk in a cabin) he'd only appear on deck about every ten minutes to see what crew members had been killed since his last appearance and to snarl a few orders. I'd probably watch even that one again!  Cheers

I dunno- I'm a big time Monster Kid. Old horror movies are my favorite type of film. But Asylum?  No. No f**king way.
That's sacrilage.

But what did you think of their take on Dracula from the trailer?  I'm genuinely curious to hear your opinion.

I have a soft spot in my heart (or maybe my head) for Asylum's brand of schlock. I'd def watch this. It looks like fun crap.

I dunno... It's just a cartoon version of Bela Lugosi. I liked Chris Lee's version and Jack Palance- it's not so much the look-it's the actor.

This looks like Udo Kier doing a caricature of Bela Lugosi

I watched Monster Mash tonight. (it's streaming on "Hoopla," a free service affiliated with my public library.) It was actually pretty fun, in a silly comic book kind of way. A cut above the usual Asylum schlock.
