Rowdy Roddy Piper Career MV

Rowdy Roddy Piper was awesome in his day. A true maverick they really could not tame...

Am I the only one who finds this year's Wrestlemania to be rather lackluster? I find WWE wrestling kind of boring lately without Punk who seems to be done with wrestling. No one they have on their roster currently is anywhere near as good a talker.

Best Match from Each Wrestlemania

I agree with most of this guy's picks except for 10 (there I would pick the ladder match, still he made a pretty good pick). 29 would be Punk-Taker.

Yes. Have to say, but I find the WWE boring. The last 5 years have nothing on the last 20 yrs. Nothing.

I am also sad to say when Undertaker retires - I retire from watching wresting...

Undertaker is the last of the greatest. (in my time anyway)

Mid 80's to mid 90's WWF will live in my heart forever - as well as mid 90's to 2000 ECW and WCW.

This is my honest personal opinion.

My interest level dropped dramatically after Punk walked out. I do like Daniel Bryan. You're right wrestling I'd say since 2002 has been going largely downhill in terms of quality. Of course, perhaps I view the past through rose-colored glasses a bit but I recall loving wild and crazy characters in wrestling...not just guys with boring forgettable names. My favourite period is the 1980s. After that, I'd probably place the 70s next and then the 90s. The 2000s I'd probably place below the 60s in terms of quality....

I've gone from being a hardcore fan of wrestling, to just about only watching Raw and the occasional ppv.

I was in high school from '98-'02.

Back then, I watched:
RAW
Smackdown
Nitro
Thunder
Sunday Night Heat
WCW Worldwide
WCW Saturday Night
WWF Metal/Jakked
ECW Hardcore TV
ECW on TNN.
WWF LiveWire
WWF SuperStars

They even had that Women of Wrestling program on a local station here.  I watched that too.

Love him or hate him, the hulkster in wrestling has always been entertaining...and definitely a name I associate most with the wrestling I grew up watching...

My favourite wrestler as a little kid was the one and only Andre the Giant...

So apparently this exists.

Yep. Saw that at Walmart once. Happy that there's an official animated AJ Lee now, though.  :tongueout:

Yeah, they actually had a guy in a Scooby suit accompany Sin Cara to the ring on Raw last Monday. It was ridiculous but apparently it's excuse enough to push the new Hunico Sin Cara and continue to bury the much more talented Damien Sandow.

The Wrestlemania 30 card is more fleshed out now. It includes the following now:

The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar

Randy Orton vs. Batista vs. Winner of Triple H/Daniel Bryan

Triple H vs. Daniel Bryan

The Shield vs. Kane & the New Age Outlaws

John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt

Andre the Giant 30 Man Memorial Battle Royal

The Usos vs. Los Matadores vs. Rybaxel vs. The Real Americans (Fatal4Way for the Tag titles)

A.J. Lee vs. every other diva on the roster apparently in some type of Divas title invitational

So far no CM Punk in the picture. I can understand why Punk would leave. He basically hasn't been in a title match in over a year and has basically become a mid-carder the last year. He was banged up and looked off his game. WWE also misused him booking him as basically a buddy of Cena's which made no sense whatsoever. Punk should be booked as the cool anti-hero (kind of like Steve Austin used to be), not as crowd glad-hander. At the Royal Rumble, he actually seemed surprised when Kane eliminated him like it caught him off guard or something. Nowadays WWE like to pretend he doesn't exist because he walked out while still under contract. Hopefully if he ever does come back, he'll be back to his old self.

I just bought a couple tickets to a WWE live event happening here in a couple months.  That should be pretty fun.
