Sorry for the long post
My personal list of 100 great bad movies. Some may notice the lack of Troma "Classics" but I did not include any because they are mostly intended to be bad. Fulci's masterpiece The Beyond was included because it is a 50% bad and 50% awesome kind of deal I think. Most of the badness actually works in its favor though, like the infamous spider attack sequence. Then there is stuff like "Do Not Entry" that went down in history. Point Break was added because it is hilarious if you happen to dislike Keanu Reeves. He gets abused throughout the movie in every way possible. My favorite is when Lori Petty wakes the sleeping Keanu with a gun shot! Or how about the dog threwn in his face? Or the crack whore beating the crap out of him? Not to mention his injured leg after a failed foot chase. The list could go on and on. Of course there is plenty of other stuff that seemed cool back in the day but just ridiculous now, like the surveillance camera footage examination with the bare a$$ followed by the bare a$$ discovery on the beach.
The badness of Road House is overshadowed by pure kick a$$ greatness so I was a bit on the fence to include this Swayze classic, but in the end I just did anyway.
The rest of the list goes without explanation except maybe for the inclusion of Hooper's Crocodile which I think is his best movie since Lifeforce. I don't quite understand Crocodile's bad rep and low IMDb rating. The film has about everything that makes a brainless party movie so much fun. Hooper even threw in some of his trademark Texas Chainsaw moments in the mix. Love it.

As for other 'classics' like Frogs, Night of the Lepus or Empire of the Ants, I'm currently working on a B list so keep yer eyes peeled.

there is great review of the manitou at amazon.  the guy talks about getting kicked off the set for making fun of it, then walking down the street and checking out "Star wars".  really shows how the times were changing

I really liked it though.  the manitou

I can understand most of the list, but for 2:

Mommie Dearest: Sooooooo Fonda goes crazy? So what? According to the source Crawford went just as crazy, and that kind of crazy true to life is pretty chilling...

Attack of the Killer Tomatoes: I contest that like Troma films, this was intentionally bad. That's not a bad thing IMO but you said you weren't counting those types.

The reason my list is so much different is more than likey due to my age. I'm 47 (in August of next month)-I'm guessing  you are younger. My list is based on the films I saw at the theater and old Creature Feature films of that period. I am not predjudice against newer films-I'm just not familiar with them. I'm very curious about the titles you mention! I'm just old.  :bluesad:

Well, I'm old too but my access to these classics were kind of limited because I grew up in Europe. Dracula Vs Frankenstein, The Killer Shrews etc you couldn't find here on local TV or at the cinema. As a military brat I did have access to countless US video stores meant for American soldiers and personnel stationed here overseas, but I was always on the lookout for the latest releases back in the 80s. And I'm still on the lookout these days. Old habits are hard to break

Great choice.  Weird/bad/funny Eurohorror Zombie flick that has this kid of about 12 who is immature for his age and in lust with his mother, but that's not the weirdest part.  What really makes this movie so odd is that the 12 year old kid is played by a very strange looking 30 year old actor.

Well like any list, you look after it again and you see stuff you left out you wonder whether you should have left said film off the list or not (LEGEND OF BIGFOOT, ASTRO ZOMBIES) and then others come to mind you just somehow forgot or overlooked (can't believe I forgot to include Ed Wood's other "gems" BRIDE OF THE MONSTER and GLEN OR GLENDA)

Twenty more!

41.  The Wasp Woman
42.  Resident Demon (original title:  Lich)
43.  Blade of the Vampire
44.  The Evil Brain from Outer Space
45.  Blood of Dracula
46.  The Screaming Skull
47.  The Devil's Nightmare
48.  Horror of Spider Island
49.  Over the Top
50.  Cobra

51.  Glen or Glenda
52.  Plan 9 from Outer Space (duh.)
53.  Bride of the Monster
54.  House by the Cemetery (although it could be argued that it's not a "bad" film, just very Italian)
55.  Memorial Valley Massacre
56.  BloodRayne
57.  Alone in the Dark
58.  Planet of the Dinosaurs
59.  Werewolf vs. the Vampire Woman
60.  To Kill with Intrigue (Thanks, JaseSF! I forgot that one.  It's great!)

I could understand not using Troma films (or most Troma films) because Intentionally bad is not the same as a Bad mad film. Intentionally bad is always in your face about being a bad movie and lacks the humor because they are telling us the film is bad. A bad made film tries to overlook its mistakes and it becomes fun to watch. (I'd always thought if TROMA attempted to make a serious movie like ED Wood did with Plan 9 then we would be seeing some really good bad movies)

The only exception for Troma is Alferd Packer: The Musical (1996) [Cannibal! The Musical] which is an indy film that TROMA actually bought for distrubition.

I'm not sure if these were on the list:

Mystics in Bali (1981) ~ talk about costume change. The characters has changed their clothes during takes and its quite funny when they are talking and you notice the girl wearing a different dress then the last cut and then its changed back in another cut. This happens more then once.

Return of the Boogeyman (1994) (V) ~ To murder somebody by dropping the radio into the bathtub is bad. But seeing the same clip 20+ times being replayed in the same movie is record breaking.

Suzie. A macabre, dark, erotic journey of love and murder. Original 2007 remake 2009 is a B-Grade underground shocker.

You mean the film about the love doll? That's a completely different film to Suzie (2009), not a remake.

Suzie. A macabre, dark, erotic journey of love and murder. Original 2007 remake 2009 is a B-Grade underground shocker.

You mean the film about the love doll? That's a completely different film to Suzie (2009), not a remake.

It's a film about dolls and murder made 2007 & nominated best film at several film festivals, remade 2009 on sale Amazon. Suzie was the original doll film.

Suzie was made before 'Lars and the real girl' Suzie 2009 was made in Canada and is not the same as Suzie 2007 remastered 2009. Just Google suzie zvents or suzie warren matthews it's everywhere on the web.

Notably, the ones I love from your list:
The Blob

Manos
Screaming Skull
Reefer Madness
Santo and Blue Demon vs. The Monsters

And quite a few others, to boot.
