Sorry for the long post
My personal list of 100 great bad movies. Some may notice the lack of Troma "Classics" but I did not include any because they are mostly intended to be bad. Fulci's masterpiece The Beyond was included because it is a 50% bad and 50% awesome kind of deal I think. Most of the badness actually works in its favor though, like the infamous spider attack sequence. Then there is stuff like "Do Not Entry" that went down in history. Point Break was added because it is hilarious if you happen to dislike Keanu Reeves. He gets abused throughout the movie in every way possible. My favorite is when Lori Petty wakes the sleeping Keanu with a gun shot! Or how about the dog threwn in his face? Or the crack whore beating the crap out of him? Not to mention his injured leg after a failed foot chase. The list could go on and on. Of course there is plenty of other stuff that seemed cool back in the day but just ridiculous now, like the surveillance camera footage examination with the bare a$$ followed by the bare a$$ discovery on the beach.
The badness of Road House is overshadowed by pure kick a$$ greatness so I was a bit on the fence to include this Swayze classic, but in the end I just did anyway.
The rest of the list goes without explanation except maybe for the inclusion of Hooper's Crocodile which I think is his best movie since Lifeforce. I don't quite understand Crocodile's bad rep and low IMDb rating. The film has about everything that makes a brainless party movie so much fun. Hooper even threw in some of his trademark Texas Chainsaw moments in the mix. Love it.

As for other 'classics' like Frogs, Night of the Lepus or Empire of the Ants, I'm currently working on a B list so keep yer eyes peeled.

The Burgomaster

Interesting list.  I'm pleased to see you included LAS VEGAS BLOODBATH!
"Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me the hell alone."

LOL! I've never seen Hell of the Living Dead, So I just watched the trailer ...
More like comedy then horror, omg it looks so bad ... I need to see it now.  :twirl:

lester1/2jr

there is great review of the manitou at amazon.  the guy talks about getting kicked off the set for making fun of it, then walking down the street and checking out "Star wars".  really shows how the times were changing

I really liked it though.  the manitou

I bought the DVD a few months ago.  It's a laugh riot.

Doc Daneeka

I can understand most of the list, but for 2:

Mommie Dearest: Sooooooo Fonda goes crazy? So what? According to the source Crawford went just as crazy, and that kind of crazy true to life is pretty chilling...

Attack of the Killer Tomatoes: I contest that like Troma films, this was intentionally bad. That's not a bad thing IMO but you said you weren't counting those types.

For the latest on the fifth installment in Don Coscarelli's Phantasm saga.

The reason my list is so much different is more than likey due to my age. I'm 47 (in August of next month)-I'm guessing  you are younger. My list is based on the films I saw at the theater and old Creature Feature films of that period. I am not predjudice against newer films-I'm just not familiar with them. I'm very curious about the titles you mention! I'm just old.  :bluesad:

Well, I'm old too but my access to these classics were kind of limited because I grew up in Europe. Dracula Vs Frankenstein, The Killer Shrews etc you couldn't find here on local TV or at the cinema. As a military brat I did have access to countless US video stores meant for American soldiers and personnel stationed here overseas, but I was always on the lookout for the latest releases back in the 80s. And I'm still on the lookout these days. Old habits are hard to break
