yeah... is there a movie worst than plan 9? i can only think of (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/2/26/KFS_aliens.jpg) Killers From Space!
Do you know any others? :teddyr:
(Yay, Manos beats Plan 9! :twirl:)
I have quite a few I consider to be worse, but I've lately been focusing my efforts on good movies... Nowadays around here I find myself feeling quite behind in the times x.X . I'd go to my old standbys (Dracula 3000 et al), but they're more a "quiet" sort of bad in comparison to the fellas in your pic
The first time I saw "Killers from Space" I was probably 7 or 8 years old, went to the local theater's Saturday matinee with my friends. I thought the movie was OK, just what you would expect from a low budget "B" scfi film of the '50's, then the aliens with ping pong ball eyes showed up and the place erupted with laughter, flying popcorn boxes, and that extremely loud kazoo noise you could make with an empty Good and Plenty box. The same thing happened during the second feature, "Teenagers from Outer Space", when the crawdad/crayfish monster showed up. You're right, "Killers from Space" is pretty bad but it is more or less state of the art for low budget 50's scifi with goofy looking aliens.
When I went to see "Plan Nine from Outer Space" the laughter, flying popcorn, kazoo noises and general uproar started almost at same time as the Criswell's narration and continued in greater and lesser degrees of intensity for almost the entire movie.
I believe there are bad movies and then there is "Plan Nine from Outer Space".

"Teenagers from Outer Space"
I want to see this, lol
Check the local movie listings for the nearest big city and you'll find at least a dozen of them.
Space Zombie Bingo!!! (1993)
About 50% of the movie is actually part homage part reimaging of Plan 9, and manages to be even worse than Plan 9. It's a fascinating hot mess nonetheless, and worth seeing once.
Try watching Lucio Fulci's CONQUEST. You'll want to rip your eyes out (if you can stay awake that long).
ARMAGEDDON-I HATE that movie..."I close my eyes and fall asleep..." Gawd. Awful.

Completely agree. I tried seeing this twice with friends in the theater. Fell asleep both times near the same spot in the middle. When Ben Affleck is leaving Earth and says " I LOVE YOU!!" to Liv Tyler is the most contrived scene the history of film imo. Just plain awful.
Try The Amazing Transplant and Black Hooker for starters. Both are far worse.
Weasels Rip My Flesh
yes! for example, "attack of the puppet people" and "jesus christ vampire hunter".
Octopus 2 fails on just about every level, so I say that movie would be worst than Plan 9.

Ouch! You cut me to the quick! I
love ATTACK of the PUPPET PEOPLE!
But I also love lotsa other crap, like ATTACK of the GIANT LEECHES and The INDESTRUCTIBLE MAN.
" A maniac who wants to make you into a plaything!" :bouncegiggle:

Teenagers From Space is a fine example as already mentioned. I'd also like to nominate;
The Astounding She Creature
Bronx Executioner
The Day Time Ended
Troll 2
Frankenstein Meets The Space Monster
Frankenstein Island
Revenge Of The Living Dead Girls
The Gingerdead Man
So on and so forth...there are a lot of films that stink more than Plan 9.
Plan 9 is fun.
PSYCHED BY THE 4-D WITCH...not so much.

Other films worse than Plan 9:
Scarlett Fry's Junkfood Horrorfest
Blood Sucking Babes from Burbank
Catholic Ghoulgirls
Hip Hop Locos
Wishbone
Prehistoric Bimbos in Armageddon City

Depends on your definition of "worse".
This movie's story is told by a hack who thought they were an artistic genius.

I like the Pistols music...but this film is over indulgence on Malcom McClarens part. Just awful.
In the same vein...
the Beatles horrendus MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR.
I hold a personal resentment of this film-as I was actually class president in my sophmore year of high school. It was my job to pick a film for the Thanksgiving Day movie. The year before we saw the wonderful 1939 HUNCHBACK of NOTRE DAME. I choose (along with my fellow class members) Hitchcocks PSYCHO. The teachers pre-screened it...and said no. Instead, they ran this piece of tripe. Their way of saying "Were hip!" I reckon. Their was a mass walk out of the audotorium. I quit as prez the next week, Hey-if Nixon could do it...!

Oh yeah, I love the Pistols music too.. it's just Swindle was a pointless reel of celluloid;
a totally dead film which I felt nothing after watching it.
Thank god Lydon had nothing to do with it.
Firstly, I have to admit i haven't seen Plan 9, but since it sounds entertaining-type good, I'm just going to list a bucnh of unbearably-horrible-type bad films:
All of these either have very little happening, are incoherant, seem to have no understanding of the basics of storytelling, or just come off as pretentious nonsense-
Never Play with the Dead
Blood Predator
Silent Bloodnight
Bone Sickness
Hostel part II
Deadline/Interference
Train to Hell
Reign of Fire (may have been entertaining-bad had they realised how immensely dumb it was)
Michael Bay's Transformers (see above)
Nature Unleashed: Avalanche
Edges of Darkness (Can't decide on a movie plot? Why not just throw everything into one movie?)
I believe The Day Time Ended was already mentioned, but it deserves another mention.
Zombies Anonymous (Nothing worse than an unfunny comedy that decides it wants to be an edgy social commentary halfway through)
Fist of the Vampire
Passed the Door of Darkness (Anything by Nightlight Films; their determination to outdo the Saw franchise is both annoying and unending)
The Uninvited (2009)
Dragon Hunter
Three Faces of Terror (How about an horror anthology where all three stories have notihng happening?)
Ugh... at times like this, it seems like I watch a lot more abysmal movies than fun bad movies...
Robot Monster, anyone? If you can, imagine a gorilla in a diving helmet using menacing gestures and a "calcinator ray" to eradicated the remnants of the human race. Filmed on location at Bronson Canyon, CA.

The Bloody Pit of Horror was pretty bad. It's on archive.org http://www.archive.org/details/BloodyPitOfHorror (http://www.archive.org/details/BloodyPitOfHorror)
I can think of tons....
Malibu Beach Vampires for one
Party Crasher :bluesad:

British 70's sex comedies
Oh come on, those are the best.
Thanks for the welcome Circus Circus...... Im a Brit so I have to apologise for the British sex comedies.... They always starred Robin Asquith and usually had the word confessions in the title.
add Frankenstein's Great Aunt Tillie as worse then plan 9
the Underground Comedy Movie
I've seen it once at a cheap movie rental place, but haven't ever seen a copy anywhere since. Someone looking for a good bad movie review should track that movie down. It stars the Sham Wow guy and Joey Buttafuoco. Anna Nicole Smith was suppose to be in it, but she refused saying it would have been detrimental to her career. She was right.
