Urine trouble for that one!
A year seems excessive. Meh.
PEEople must learn what to do and what not to do where. :teddyr:
1 year is a joke. I know he'll get it cut down, but still. In this country they'll send you to prison for all sorts of stupid stuff for years upon years. But people who rape or kill others serve about 6 months and then they're living in luxury on benefit payments! :hatred:

What are benefit payments? Do they get reimbursed for going to jail? :buggedout:

Money received due to being in prison, where the convict obviously can't earn an income. So, when they come out I think they get some other kind of money too. It's screwed up in the UK. There's about 7-8 different types of payments that people can get for having kids, comitting crimes or generally just being lazy...

In the USA, prisoners can work and earn money while in prison. It's extremely low pay (far below minimum wage), but they do get an hourly rate for some things. The idea is if they actually have some resources when they get out, they're less likely to relapse. Unfortunately, having a criminal record makes it extremely difficult to get a worthwhile job, so...

Oh absolutely. But it just amazes me that a cop could let such a thing happen. He should know enough to look out for number one.
