Are there characters in comics, literature, movies, etc that you look at and say "thats so me". Heres a few I came up with about myself;
Dr. Manhattan (Watchmen)
Not the whole "indestructible man" thing but rather his detachment from humanity. I find many human affairs to be boring and I often feel a bit more detached from humanity every year. However, like him, I'm often reminded by those closest to me what it truly is to be human.
Oscar The Grouch/Bert (Sesame Street)
I'd say I'm a hybrid of these two characters. A la Oscar...I'm moody, socially challenged (depending on the environment) and hate a lot of things. A la Bert, also moody yet loveably nerdy. (Ernie is in the pic because I'm too lazy to find one of just Bert...I actuallly loathe Ernie...he's a prick).
Monk~~ from the USA tv show.. only a female version. Just today I pulled out the stove and the refrigerator to clean behind them, made a master grocery shopping list in wordpad and printed out multiple copies for future use, took my hand held steam cleaner to the grout lines in the kitchen floor, and organized my spices alphabetically(my husband messes them all up)
Bryon from the book That Was Then, This Is Now by S.E. Hinton
He feels (as I do) much more confused as he grows older and far less sure of himself. He also longs to be a kid again so he can feel more confident.
I totally understand the feeling. :bluesad:
Hush for being so secretive
(http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/e/e3/Hushx.jpg)
Probably Yossarian, from catch 22. I have a relatively similar outlook and cynical view of human affairs.

Hush for being so secretive
Hmmm. Secretive. You may want to rethink that one. Just a thought.

Oscar The Grouch/Bert (Sesame Street)
:bouncegiggle: I can totally see the Oscar/Bert in you! But I like it!
I used to think the creators of the Powerpuff girls were spying on me when they came up with Bubbles:

..especially when she tried to defeat a monster by putting stickers on him.
Deadpool

I often just don't shut the hell up and purposely drive people insane around me. I'm also a fan of lame jokes.
Do I even need to say it?

I can think of a couple.

Fozzie Bear- kinda good natured, quick with a joke (despite it mostly being not very good/ill timed), and eager to please.
Hermie The Elf- Just a misfit who's trying to do his own thing despite the negative attitudes of the people in the world around me.
Also:
Holden Caulfield from The Catcher in The Rye.
Otis. :bluesad:

16 TV characters
07 film characters
But to keep it managable, I'll just list the TV and film characters.
These are characters who I know what they are going to say. What they are going to do. Even if the writers don't.

My nickname for them or something about them
And, oh yeah. I like 'em dead. Dead! Dead! As I like to see how they react to the worst moment in their life.

Oh there's a few characters who over the years I've felt a certain kinship too.
As a kid, it was definitely Bert from Sesame Street for me too. I even had a bottlecap collection. I was a huge fan of Oscar too.
Mr. Spock
Cold and logical, even seemingly a little aloof at times, yet surpisingly compassionate when it comes to those closest to him although he doesn't like to show his emotions. I've never liked showing my emotional side in public either.
The Martian Manhunter
More so a kinship to him for feeling more than a little alien when compared to those who surround him and his having to put up with buffoonery of his friends, especially during Keith Giffen's Justice League run.
Gwyllm Griffiths
A man who desires more than what his limited surroundings can afford. I can so relate to that. Also after being transformed, he has very little use for ignorance.

Rorshach and The Question:
The paranoid side of me that feels a lot of truths, some dealing with the paranormal and some not, are and have been in fact covered up by governments and other public agencies can relate very much to these two characters. Some cover-ups years later have been revealed while others probably never will be....
Charlie Brown
Those who only know the Peanuts characters from the cartoons are probably unaware at how much depth and inner tormoil. Charlie Brown in particular was constantly depressed, angst ridden and filled with anxiety. Constantly pining away for love and approval that would always seem to alude him. Although he never gave up trying, he'd constantly fail at things (be it baseball, kite flying, etc), and was constantly picked by the people who were supposed to be his friend (the girls in particular.)
Calvin (Calvin and Hobbes)
What can I say? We both have a warped sense of humor, and overactive imaginations that often make others look at us as though we're weird.
Oscar (Let the Right One In)
This was especially true in my Junior High years. Like me, he's a lonely, isolated fellow, rejected by his peers, often fantasizes about taking revenge on his tormentors.
Sadly, I'm still waiting for my Eli.
I also kind of feel like Charlie Brown! I don't feel bad nearly as often, but, I feel totally horrible somewhat often.
Tyler Durden of Fightclub, not the Brad Pitt version.
Andy Dufresne in the Shawshank Redemption
Captain Haddock of the Tintin books. :teddyr:
Edward William 'Win' Bear of the novel The Probability Broach ~ out of his time and out of his mind.
John Rambo ~ that end credits theme tune of First Blood is my life story right there.
Norman Bates when I was younger. :buggedout:
Fontaine Khaled of the Jackie Collins novels ~ that's my female side coming out.
mack bolan from the executioner series of books. some days big guns and explosives could make the day easier.
