TCM is showing THE DEVIL WITHIN HER tonight (Sat/Sun 4 am est)
This movie sucks, but I love it.
It's a little boring at times, but it has the cutest little monster ever, and a horny killer midget who works at a strip club, an excorcisim done by Italians with terrible accents, and Joan Collins showing her boobs. Plus Caroline Monroe.
Check it out if you can.

Wow! What a film treat!
Hell man-I OWN it on vhs! And that aint my dirtiest secret! :twirl:
I rented this on VHS back in the 1980s. I don't remember much about it other than that I was disappointed.

*Slaps self* OK, I'm calm now. :teddyr:
THE INDESTRUCTIBLE MAN is on TCM tomorrow morning at 6am est.
Gonna DVR this and hope it's a decent transfer.
It's a film noir/monster movie, that for some reason I'm very fond of.
It's followed by THE STRANGLER starring Victor Buono. I've never seen this, but sounds like it's worth a watch.
I think The Indestructable Man is actually more fun in a slightly crappy print. It gives it more of a fever dream feeling. Or like you're watching it on some weird channel that is still broadcasting analog and is just barely within reach of your reception.
But I'm just kinda weird like that.

I get what your saying, but I love the great transfer that TCM showed. You get much more detail of Lon's bags quivering.

Oh, dude. Never, and I mean NEVER, put the words "Lon's bags quivering" in print again. My innocent mind is now forever stained.
But, yeah, I know what you mean. Heck, if that is what makes your day, watch "Spider Baby" and "Dracula Vs Frankenstein". Lots of quivering going on in those.

Every time I say I'm back for good, I never stay around, so I'll just go with "I'm lurking, good sir."
Umm, Trevor...have you gained weight or something? :buggedout: :bouncegiggle:

James Mitchum did look just like his dad, but he couldn't act worth a f**k. :bouncegiggle:
Vampira reading poetry was great, and I loved Slapsie Maxie hanging out with the beatniks. But the pregnancy by either the rapist or the husband (should I have an abortion?) subplot really made the movie unsettling. Oh, and you can't forget the hula hoop scene.

I gotta see!
I thought this was great. Stephen Boyd did a great job in the lead role (and so did Tony Bennett as his sidekick). :twirl: People compare it to VALLEY OF THE DOLLS, and that seems right. It's very dramatic. :tongueout:
And Jack Soo, from BARNEY MILLER, was in it!
Really have enjoyed a lot of the recent stuff TCM has been playing...they've played a lot of great film noir classic recently too.

They have.
I caught DOUBLE INDEMNITY for the first time in a long while, and it blew me away once again. I think it's one of the best movies ever made, but DEADLINE AT DAWN...not so much, but at least the dialogue had me laughing.
